I don't know about purdue or the rest of the college teams but for Nebraska this type of season should be completely unacceptable. Clean house, get better recruits, do whatever needs to be done Huskers. But you need to bring some pride back into this organization.

Head coach Bo Pelini (7th Year)

Head coach Mike Riley (1st year)See above for the coach Nebraska should have spent every dime on. No matter what it took, they should have tried to grab him. Superior coaching equals wins.

Tommy Armstrong, what can you say? I would respect the kid if he actually won the game but he didn't. In typical fashion he gave the game away trying to force things and be the big hero.
It was 1st down Tommy and you were scrambling, just run the ball and pick up a few yards. You are no John Elway and you never will be.
Nebraska had a great comback only to be squandered by Armstrong. It's all about wins, nobody will remember "Almost winning"

I'm ready for Nebraska to be on top of the food chain again. I can remember the glory years, but they are faded a bit.
Let's hope Riley pulls some solid talent and comes up with a killer system. If not I fear the memories of the past will continue to collect dust.

Riley needed to speak with Tommy and calm the kid down. Remind him that if nothing there don't force it, Tommy should have ran and picked up a few yards, it was 1st down for crying out loud. That is exactly where coaching comes in, that is the point they can coach players into making good decisions.

QB play kills them again. He really makes bone headed plays.

And you know what? Our sellout streak will not endure another coaching change. This is our coach get ready to accept that.Just not a good team. No real talent and bad recruiting. Going to take many seasons to get back on top. It for sure won't be this coaching staff, that will need to change as well.
The fans will always be there, the real fans that is. They will win some games under Riley, but will never be a top 5 team. I can see in another 5-6 years a new coach and staff coming in that can put together a powerhouse. Just won't be Riley, I've lived through this guy before as my NFL teams coach.

These are the lean years gentlemen. Sit back and weather the long winter.

Have more than a single digit lead. go up by 2 scores with .01 second left and this is a non issue.
The elite teams, like the Huskers of the past would be up by 3-4 touchdowns in the 4th quarter. You leave nothing to chance.
Why Mike Riley should be fired now

I agree with the OP 100%, as a Charger fan I was flabbergasted when the Huskers hired Riley.
