Our defense is garbage all the way around. I'm not being a pessimist, just calling it how it is.  I hope we find some answers on D next year, because I can't stand watching that pathetic crap.

Disagree.  Do we have problems?  Yes, but to make a blanket statement like this is just irresponsible.

 

UCLA - over 600 yards

Ohio State - 63 points

Wisconsin - 70 points and a butt-load of rushing yards

Georgia - 45 points and a Capitol One Bowl record 589 yards of offense

 

Looks pretty pathetic to me.  I'm really not a debbie downer, and I'm not demanding anyone's head, I just can't stand watching that crap.

 

Good performance by the team today though.  They showed a lot of heart with the way they played.  It's too bad that gets tarnished by our defense.

After the bare bottom beatdown tOSU gave us Pelini and Co. have been true to their word, WE HAVE BEEN WINNING! It looks like Pelini looked long and hard into the abyss then found a solution. Pump the sunshine.

This holds true 99% of the time, I went to the Kansas game when Turner Gil was coaching. You could hear a mouse fart in the second half.

I really do not like these, the whtie banner N reminds me of Miss. State.

I just saw The Avengers over the weekend. The plot was cookie-cutter and the acting was meh. It was a special-effects extravaganza, and at this point, I'm beyond being wowed by special effects. Give me another Empire Strikes Back plot line over giant space battles and a host of realistic virtual characters any day.

+1 I will take stop go clay mation effects in a plot/charactor driven film then special-effects drivel ment to be shovel fed to the masses.

I hate the blackshirt tradition. Every time I hear about how good we are playing and how much the defense deserves to get those shirts, I think of the team having a bad game and Husker fans saying how the defense doesn't deserve the shirts anymore and how non Husker fans start jeering with pink shirt and black skirt comments. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... Don't mean to be a downer, but we will NEVER get to a time in Husker football where we NEVER lose and we NEVER have a bad game, so the lame fan comments and the JEERS are GUARANTEED.

Wisconsin will be the team that we prove to the world that we are Kings among men! Even if it was tOSU, we'd still be smelling them roses. WE are the best team in the B1G at this moment.

Slow down there young lady. Our defense has improved remarkably but let's not put this on our Sears & Roebuck card.

His perfomance in my mind cemented his leadership qualities and leadership ability to hang tough in close games. This will put an end to those who call for the backup QB's to see playing time, trust me, heard plenty of those comments during the 3rd quarter to the 8min mark of the 4th quarter. There is a logical reason Taylor is our starting QB, not RK3, not Brion, no offense to those guys I am not disrespecting their talents but Taylor is the starter. He proved why.

I was hoping for Bo to turn this thing around, but through 4 1/2 years it's painfully obvious he sucks at coaching fundamentals, and he just doesn't come close to getting the most out of his players.

 

His days are numbered unless we somehow manage not to get blown out by Michigan next week. In other words, his days are numbered. He's coaching for his job from here on out.

I'm a huge Bo fan. I think Beck and Paps will be good coaches someday. I HATE the notion of starting over with coaches and all that means in terms of recruiting and rebuilding. I hate it. But watching the game today if finally became clear to me. Looking at the NW players on the field. Man for man, with perhaps only one or two exceptions, our players are bigger/better players..more core skills. I understand the whole "players have to play" argument...and that holds good for one or two games every couple of years.

 

But this is happening every game. It can only be coaching. Only that.

 

I don't think our program can endure as a "perennial power" if this continues.

 

I'm no head hunter, but I have to think there is enough corn money floating around to buy a set of top flight coaches. Many teams have proven it doesn't need to take 4 - 6 years to build a winning team.

 

I will always love the Huskers..win or lose. But this kind of performance just hurts deep in my gut. The guys in the big red uniforms deserve better.

+1 this makes easier for Eichorst to can Implode Pelini. I hate the turnover in the HC position but Bo is done.
