At least if the tape doesnt come out people might only be talking about how classy our fans/students were in the tribute....because to be honest UCLA football out here is an afterthought
-
went with Frank....Deer in the headlights look on the sidelines ...but in reality if Pederson doesnt botch the fire/hire process we are all better off.

This is just to appease the masses...for the most part everyone has made their mind up on how they feel about the matter...If he is coaching here next year then great, if he is a DC elsewhere I wont lose any sleep over that either. Move on and enjoy the season

I am more concerned about his record vs BCS competition .....0 for our last 3....etc

Some things in life are more important than the final score of a football game
One thing that was more important than the final score was the character of the Nebraska football program, and that includes their fans. We confirmed this week that Nebraska fans are about as classy as you will ever find. When I wrote on the morning after the Nebraska game last season, I said that I wanted us to be like Nebraska. I wanted us to be a deeply passionate fan base that wore the same color blue and filled the stadium every week and welcomed the opponents and respected the game and set the standard for what a home field advantage looked like. Well, Nebraska took my great fan card and completely trumped it with kind words from their head coach on Monday and #36 stickers on their helmets and a moment of silence and blue and yellow balloons and a banner before the game and more humanity and decency than I have ever seen from an opposing team. And in doing so, they upped that standard for a fan base to a whole new level. If everyone had the same heart and concern for their fellow man as those Nebraska folks, the world would be a far far better place.
Husker fans will be disappointed about this loss for a few weeks, but I hope they will appreciate that the goodwill and respect they have earned in our eyes and in the hearts and minds of anyone around the country who was following these events is worth more than 5 National Championships, and it will be remembered far longer than the final score. So as the final score rolled up in our favor, I just couldn't cheer quite as loud knowing the disappointment those amazing people were feeling.

if they handed out shirts to everyone how much would that run the university ? They wouldnt have to be great quality. A few years back I went to Lakers-Celtics NBA finals game in LA and they had yellow shirts waiting for everyone ...of course I wouldnt be caught dead in anything Lakers related and then again 18 k shirts is easier than 90k

Loved Pavelka and never understood why he was so polarizing. Great hoops announcer too!

Black may get a little warmer too
-
I see the players on twitter asking for fans to wear black to match the alternate unis and i know fans wore it at Wisconsin a few years back...those that are going Saturday are you wearing black or the traditional Red or White?

Offense has been inconsistent so far....the 1 yard, 2 yards, 15 yard type drives cant continue...Personally I would like to see a little more even keel 4-4-4...
-
That we should never blitz both backers if its going to result in Avery Moss covering the back on a wheel route...that just wont work ....EVER!

For what it's worth. I briefly talked with a basketball recruit this last Friday night. I was checking out the arena and we were right on the part were they're building in the bridge. As I was peering through the window (it was closed), this guy comes up to me and says "You a Nebraska basketball fan?" I said that I was and couldn't wait to see the first game in the arena. Then the guy points to a kid on his right and says "We've got a recruit visiting here."
A little taken back, I asked how he has liked his visit so far and he said were were his number one. Then I asked where he was from and he said Dallas, Texas. I told him we;d love to have him and wish him the best of luck with his decision and then left. Never asked for his name (though I should have).
Anyways, these facilities are going to do us wonders in recruiting. The kid I saw was white and probably 6'5ish. Anyways, he was incredibly impressed.
Just thought I'd share. Anyone have any idea who this might be?
Go Big Red!
Damn you had me until here
