  1. The donation part of the purchase is 80%deductible...... this year.  With the new tax plan being passed, next year 0% will be deductable.  My tax advisor said to get the donation paid before Dec 31, 2017.

I have section 605 seats and really enjoy the view even if it is really high.  Access to restrooms and concessions is quick!  We got 4 together the first year of the new east addition.  I think it's going to be pretty tough to get 4 together your first year.  I have been watching the seat yourself the last few years trying to improve our spot in the 600's and haven't seen much available.

The priority points build up year after year.  I think 1 point for every $100 donated in years past, and 3 points for every$100 donated the current year.

So people that have had tickets for many years are going to get to pick their new seats first, assuming there's a donation to their seats.  Although most people probably keep their same seats, never use the seat yourself,  and Don't move.

Doubtful, if he is in fact Nebraska's hire.

If it were a championship game or the CFP, maybe. Bowl games don't carry as much weight as they used to and he's going to be getting between $5-7 million reasons to get to Nebraska soon. The costs associated with hanging around UCF outweigh the benefits in this scenario.

I think that even though it is UCF, an undefeated season with a bowl win is special.  It's his team, his sweat and blood, his work, his baby.  It's something to be proud of.  Even in the AAC.  I think he finishes it out.

Either way, just getting frost here will be a huge excitement boost for the program.  Whenever he gets here.

  3. I hadn't seen the schedule for this year untill today.

When was the last time Nebraska had such a crappy home schedule? Other than the Miami game, there are a bunch of yawners, Minnesota is the best conference home game? WTF?

I forsee fans being even less excited and involved in the games than last year. There may be a few season tickets come up for grabs.

  4. I miss the big 12. I miss the familiar teams. I miss the history with the familiar teams. I miss geographicall being able to drive 2 more games. miss history with the familiar teams. I'm not too crazy about the big ten. Maybe this is why fans aren't too into the home games?

  5. No way can I root for Ohio State.....EVER! I understand it would make the big ten look better, but really wouldn't this kind of be a fake perception? Most teams in the big ten do need to get better. A lot better.

I would love to see Missouri win. To me they are still a big 12 team. They haven't been in the SEC long enough to claim they are an SEC team. I would like to see a basically big 12 offense that supposedly can't score on the "tough SEC defense", and a big 12 defense that supposedly "can't stop anyone, all they play is offense in the big 12" beat up on Auburn.

I would love for ESPN and the SEC lovers to eat crow, but who am I kidding? They will talk of Mizzou as a new SEC powerhouse, and not from a good big 12 conference!

  6. At the Iowa game 3 buddies and I arrived in our seats right before kickoff. We stayed standing, yelling, and clapping for the first series. Right away 1st play I hear behind me SIT THE 'EFF DOWN! The next two plays same thing. I finally turn around and see this fine gentleman yelling these obscenities at us over his 10 year old son's head. I ask him if he's talking to us and he said YES, SIT THE 'EFF DOWN! NO ONE ELSE IS 'EFFING STANDING! I told my buddies "well, it looks like we're standing all game today!" I then looked around and he was right. Everyone around us was sitting on their hands, bored looking, not making a peep. I had noticed this at other games this year. It seems like the crowd isn't as into the game as years past. Is this an epidemic stadium wide, or is it just our section? (east stadium addition)

1995 redux.....add Korn, Blind to your list?

  7. Are you guys nuts? Scott is a great guy and folks in Eugene like him a lot, but he is not ready for a Head Coach position. Why would you set up someone again to fail? I live in Portland, OR and this am on the way out the door my neighbor catches me and says, "so whats' with that Pelini guy?" ............ then he backs off and says, "hey, I'm really sorry man!" I guess I must have given him a look like this is really starting to get personal........I guess people around the country are now kind of laughing at the Huskers because of Pelini's behavior both on and off the field.

I kind of laugh at Oregon's jerseys every week.

Ha! Me too. I especially laughed at the John Deere ones!

  8. If we can hold UCLA to 400 yards

I prefer scoreboard. I think seasons are still judged by W-L, not yardage gained and allowed.

I think its a problem when you give up 600 yards to an inferior opponent. Its a recipe for disaster.

    EXACTLY!

I agree a wins a win, but wins will be hard to come by if you give up 600 + yds a game like the last 3!
