  1. I am starting to get the feeling along with several others Neal just likes the recruiting process and the attention that comes with it. Nothing wrong with that, and feeling wanted by major programs.

Still, we got the last visit. All I care about.

Just keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't commit to one of these schools and cancel his visit here... It happens often.

Recruiting is important, and we will honor any commitments we have made, and we would hope those young people have looked at Nebraska as a place to get an education and play football at the highest level.

    Shawn Eichorst. November 30, 2014.

Makes me believe he made a bad decision or something. But I shouldn't speculate on something like that. Or maybe just not eligible.

  3.

They pulled his scholarship.... I am speechless. This according to KD's twitter

Just saw this...wow! Anybody know what happened?

It sounds bad, but I hope he did something to make them revoke it. Otherwise I am disappointing at this decision from a fairness standpoint. Didn't SE say we would honor all scholarship offers?

Bussey has the tools to be a stud and would be a stud in Rileys offense. However at the RB position we have a lot of young talent on our roster.

This I agree with. Bussey would be most talented back on our roster. We will be fine without him though. Wilbon was a plan b or c that decommitted from vandy right? Bussey is and has always been our only guy and we have fended off the wolves until right up until signing day. Too bad we couldn't hold the sec off any longer. Kid will be special.

Definitely was not plan B or C. Was a Rivals top170 guy who committed to Vandy VERY early (April of Jr. Year), then decommitted when Franklin left. We then held off PennSt and others for him.
Well he wasn't our number 1 guy. Our top guy was the back from Colorado that ended up at Arizona state who plays as a true freshmen. But back to bussey. Good to hear he still considers us.
Not saying it's the case but when Wilbon was committed to Vandy from April-Dec he was solid as could be...so not sure we saw him as a legit target. However we accepted Wilbon's commitment before Ballage decided so we musta been pretty happy with him. And lastly let's not act like Ballage did anything special as a true freshman, he ran for 112 yards all year.

He didn't do anything special but he is going to be. I don't know if you watched when he did get to play but he looked impressive. I think he is a better back at this stage than Newby is for our team, and definitely than WIlbon is for our team right now.

Lol, Wilbon didn't play...not sure I would begin to compare Ballage and Wilbon today.

By process of elimination, I think Ballage is better than Newby and Newby is better than Wilbon (or Wilbon would have played, if you believe that Bo always gave the kids a shot at competing to play) so Ballage is better than Wilbon... and this thread is getting out of control haha

Kalen ballage. Kids a beast. And also Christian Mccaffrey. I think the staff was just hoping to get one if them (3 plan A's!)
  7. Saw a tweet about some rumor... A guy was tweeting an OU recruiting site asking if they were still aggressively pursuing him...

After following Nebraska's recruiting for a while, I have come to find this question kind of funny. Maybe I am missing something, but when was the last time that Nebraska stopped "actively pursuing" an elite (meaning highly rated) recruit who had us in their top 2 or 3. I would be surprised if they were not actively pursuing. That being said, Oklahoma does have 5 OL recruits and maybe Nebraska just hasn't been in a position where they could not take another elite prospect at a particular position since I began following. I am sure you guys will remember situations and slam me for this, so please enlighten me! haha :cowbell:

  8. A poster "in the know" on another board saying Daishon does not have a committable offer to Oregon.

Looking at Oregon's commits, they already have 2 DEs, numbers 8 and 22 in the country according to rivals. One 6'7" and one 6'6", so they like them tall.

Just curious, if he doesn't have a committable offer to Oregon, why would Oregon be spending time recruiting him? Do they think he will go as a PWO?

  9. Nice 4 star prospect with lots of buzz. On the up side ... he looks like he has some strength and conditioning he can add to his frame. I wonder how bad he wants it. Has the frame to become a beast but doesn't look as strong as I thought he would for being so highly rated. No offense intended in any comment just stating my observations.

But boy is he a load to move. That is the kind of body that wears down defensive lines.
