And where is it stated he has to take the highest offer?   I would not offer Urban Meyer or Saban ten years.  Some of you are going to curl up and die if he stays at UCF.

In honesty last nights UCF game was not that impressive.  Not worth 7 million a year or a ten year deal.

And this having a baby deal is way over hyped.
There are young men all over the world facing grave danger that have wives having babies.  It does show his priorities though.  His immediate family will have a strong word in what happens.

His agent can leverage the current highest offer to get more from another school. These things have nothing to do with "deserve".  Tom Herman got paid over 5 mil per year bc LSU and Texas wanted him. Is he as accomplished as some HCs that get paid less? Of course not.

That same O lineman is usually standing behind the defender that just tackled the RB in the backfield.

Decker played pretty well this year, anybody have any doubt he should've started last year? #cav

  3. If it is the same OL that has the arms of a kicker then he has been allowed to do this by the coaches. It's pretty clear he put in minimal effort in the weight room since Riley arrived and was not held accountable. Lack of accountability has been a huge problem under Riley.

  4. Development is a bigger issue currently. That said we need more talent too, I think the last two coaches have hamstrung themselves with numbers at certain positions.  Giving out 8 walk on scholarships in fall camp is too many for example.

I did receive a text from a guy in Oregon that hasn't been wrong in quite some time about coaching hires. At least the ones we talk about.

He said that from his source in Oregon that Scott Frost has already agreed to be the coach at NU.

    5 years 24 million

"Appears that Frost has accepted this offer. Expect a smooth transition after this season as Riley steps down and Frost takes over"

    FWIW

Not that I'm ready to buy it hook, line, and sinker but the numbers look right.

I sure hope Nebraska has reached out to Frost and talked to him because from what media sources on Twitter are saying there is a real good chance of Frost going to the Gators.

If you are going to jump on every rumor/speculation Twitter spits out, you'll be on a heck of a roller coaster over the next month or so.

  7. Lee's been impressive of late especially considering he's getting such little help. OL stinks, he's under frequent pressure. Non-existent running game at times. WR/TE/RBs drop 4-5 balls a week.

After being skittish early in the year under pressure, he steps up into the pocket or steps away much better now and delivers. His improvement has been one of the few bright spots.

  8. There just isn't much belief that Mike is going to be the guy to turn it around. We haven't seen it here, and we didn't see it at Oregon State.*

Plus he'll be 65 next year, even if he does turn it around what kind of future does Nebraska have with Mike Riley? Vs what kind of future does Nebraska have with Frost or Campbell etc.? Thus the short leash.

*Would like to say Riley had a really good run from 2003-2009 by Oregon State standards. Didn't want to completely diminish his coaching career.
