Going strictly by results, Cosgrove was getting stiffed on his salary if we look at the yardage given up at Nebraska's last three games ...

I agree with the above. Our defensive schemes seems like it is a math story problem to solve: "If Player A goes in motion towards the weak side for seven yards, while the wideouts are 10 and 12 yards out, and the linebacker follows Player A for those seven yards, how many yards do I let either wideout go down the field before I come back for the quarterback streaking for the first down?" (or some such $hit).

Anyhow, the game doesn't allow enough time for everybody to puzzle through to the correct answer, IF all eleven players can get it figured out correctly in the first place.

Newby is a solid #3 back for us, but I don't see him jumping over Abdullah or Cross. I think he was played the second half in order to put fresh legs up against a tiring defense and it worked.

It could be my memory failing, but didn't we also have a fullback in during a lot of his carries?

Again, Newby looked good, but certainly not any better than the two backs in front of him. I remember Ahman Green and Roger Craig suffered from the same fan wisdom in that they should move aside and let the "real talent" on the field...

In high school, Kenny Bell ran the 100m dash in 11.26, 11.04, 10.99, and 10.82 seconds

In high school, Nate Gerry ran the 100m in dash in 11.09, 10.88, 10.69, and 10.67 seconds

At the Oregon Twilight Meet De'Anthony Thomas ran the 100m dash in 10.65 seconds

Though we all know football speed can vary widely from track speed. Simply food (Or Koolaid?) for thought.
