I remembered the teams in the 90s having them, so that’s why I just figured it continued until recently. Thanks for the clarification.

I wish they would have continued it but it's one of those little things that I noticed because I think they're really cool.

  2. Surprised this hasn't been talked about yet.

“A lot of us haven't felt truly welcomed like in the past. Maybe that’s us. Maybe Bo Pelini and staff aren't’ opening it up enough. I don’t know,” Brown told the Gaskins and Stephens Show. “I’m not asking Bo Pelini to invite me to practice; I'm just saying from a general standpoint, it doesn't seem like a real open push for guys on the sidelines.

“There isn’t a huge connection, like a brotherhood that was put in place when I played. Can it be reestablished? Yeah – but that’s up to the head coach, staff, institution, and AD – to get the players involved with the former players to build that connection and help build that bridge back together."

  3. Last week, I wrote a letter of support to Coach Bo as I knew that he, his staff and the Nebraska football team had an incredibly draining and exhaustive week with criticism coming from fans, former players and local and national media.

I just received an email from Bo thanking me for my support which I thought was very kind.

"We all make mistakes, and I’ve made my share over the years. But the important thing is how you correct your mistakes and grow as a person. I think I’ve done that.

I have nothing but respect for the great fans, like yourself, that we have at Nebraska. The time, energy and passion that our fan base invests in this football program is second to none. It is an honor to be the head football coach at Nebraska, and it is an opportunity I am thankful for each day.

    Thanks again. Go Big Red!

    Bo Pelini"

  4. Found this on one of the other boards..

"Just got back from a Husker Luncheon hosted by Steve Sipple and the first question from the audience obviously was regarding the "audio leak", I was surprised that he answered so quickly that Yes, he knew who it was, and the whole staff is now aware of him. Bo was almost giddy when he found out, but Steve was unsure going forward how they would proceed and whether we would ever be told his identity. He made it sound as though he was a young person with an axe to grind and now could find himself cornered into an awkward position."
