  1. Not sure how much insight Jaevon McQuitty has on Gebbia's recruitment but when someone asked about it during his periscope he said he thinks he's going to Ole Miss.....

Really hope he just has no clue

Just like Keyshawn was going to usc the day before he commited....

  2. It was by far and away the most incredible game I'd ever been to! In the north end zone where both a bad and a questionable call were made it was nuts. Everyone was loud all game and brought everything they had to cheer our men. After they squibbed it to Jano, I looked at my son and said game on. The last 4 min is history. Man, I will never forget that. Only game I both lost my voice and had my ears ringing at the end👍🏻

The biggest plays made this season for the most part have been a scrambling TA unloading the ball to the strength of this team, the wideouts. Now we could literally continue to try to run the to holes that may open and not be found, or not open at all. Any way you look at it this year has been inconsistent and that comes from coaching change. Throw in some bad luck, some poor decisions (remember Tommy was told to run), and a boatload of injuries to key players on an already depleted roster and this is what we have. Riley's not an ahole, the last guy was. He is trying to play to the few strenghs this team has right now. All things considered for the most part these kids have continued to fight, learn on the fly, and lay it on the line for your enjoyment. With a post like that, you sir, are well...

What, I don't believe the media image that is being sold to me by some guy who gets in front of the camera and tells me one thing and then goes out and does the exact opposite. Okay, you enjoy that Kool Aid
No kool aid here bud. Look I don't agree with everything he or the coaching staff has done but damn, get real. If you left your home and took another job which included overlooking 130 young adults you didn't know, being scrutinized by millions of fans and grilled by media on a weekly basis while trying to attract top kids to come to play their college football careers here I would be intrigued to see how you hold up. Honestly I think he's done pretty well from that aspect. We have a huge recruiting weekend this weekend and in the midst of all this the guy has respectfully answered all questions thrown his way, and still has to try and convince young adults he will still be here to coach them due to the impatience of the fan base.

I have gotten real. Are you suggesting that he had no idea how bad a coach Mark Banker was when he hired him to come be the D-coordinator? Because if he didn't, he was the only one in Corvallis that didn't. But yet, he passed on many very good defensive coaches and stuck us with his pal regardless of how bad a coach he is. I don't give a crap how "respectfully he answered all questions thrown his way". The problem is that he didn't give a s**t about Nebraska, at least not as much as he cared about his cronies. And now our Huskers are stuck with a horrible defensive coordinator because he is Riley's boy. That's one of the main reason's I think he's an A-hole.
This is the same defense that had the players excited with how easy it was to learn...the basics. As more has been added more confusion has ensued. It happens when learn a new scheme. Throw in not having cohesion with injuries to basically the whole front seven and you have what we've seen. Inconsistent play.

What has been inconsistent? All I keep seeing is 5 close losses one blow out saved in garbage time, and our kids playing up or down to the team they are playing.

I challenge you to look up inconsistent

How do you explain how poorly his defenses performed at OSU? They weren't new schemes to those players. Go read what people in Corvallis were saying about Banker, about his coaching style, particularly about the way his pass defenses were designed. I've heard the excuses, but he has some pretty good athletes looking very bad out there. From reading what OSU fans were saying, it seems that the only way Riley was going to be able to stay in Corvallis was to fire some of the guys on his staff. But Eichorst gave him an easy out. He gave him a place where Riley could go and hide for a few more years and retire and save his buddies' jobs. Maybe Riley didn't think he would be exposed so quickly. But no matter how you look at it, Banker's defense sucks and that isn't new just because it's unfamiliar or because of injuries....it has sucked for years.

That same OSUdefense is giving up the same amount of ppg this year w/o banker, but let me guess that his fault

  5. Aaron played well last weekend. It was good to see him bounce back strong. Last I remember seeing him was half heartedly chucking then jogging behind the guy that caught the Hail Mary. Appears to have learned from past and is hungry. Need to find a way to keep him on the field.

  9. Wide out is the strength of this team depending on who you throw it to. This kid is right behind westerkamp as the top target imo. With the inconsistent qb play we receive catches like that are gonna be needed. Kids a baller with potential to be the best we've ever had.

  10. Here's a thought. The last coaching staff said they needed to get better and coach the players. Now fans are saying the coaches are horrible. The current staff as a whole has probably forgotten more than the old staff knew. I don't know what the answers are with Riley and his staff but maybe our players just aren't that good? The most talented players on the offense seem like they're all freshman or sophomores except Jordan. Newby wouldn't start for very many teams in the big 10.

Boom! Right there. We as fans refuse to accept that. Look out guys play hard, real hard! Fact of the matter is heart can only get you so far before someone better beats you continuously. Welcome to where we are. We have zero depth behind our starters, who are pretty good mind you. Our backups just are not good enough to overcome the slightest mistake. Unfortunately, we make plenty them. It will get better, need more athletes. Don't worry, be happy!👍🏻

  11. Not if the fans stop showing up and it becomes blatantly obvious the AD is having to fudge the sellout streak.

Not if the fans start lambasting Eichorst, et al, publicly in the media.

Not if the fans stop buying merchandise and vote with their wallets.

Not if the fans stop buying tickets to the games and don't attend.

Vote with your feet and wallets. Make it a point to lambaste the coaching staff and the AD for employing them when it's painfully obvious they're not able to do the job they were hired for.

There is no excuse for dropping the BYU, Wisky, or Illinois games. None. And anyone pumping sunshine and saying the staff needs time makes it THAT much harder for DoNU to come back and recover after folks finally wise up and jettison Riley and his staff. Hires like Harbaugh make it painfully obvious that quality coaching *DOES* matter, and it is available. We just need competent leadership to go out and get it.

    Maybe, just maybe, talent matters...

  12. Lavonte never picked up his scheme. Ge played rogue. Just like suh. Watch other games. Then watch david. Same with suh. He was so physically dominant that he did what he wanted and it produced such glaring resilts they had no choice.

David didnt get on the foeld by getting it either. Without fall camp 2010 injuries to Fisher and Compton we never woulda known who Lavonte David was.

And thats not a knock on David. Hes a phenomenal player. Its just a perspective of the misuse there coulda been. And was with others.

That was supposed to be a "wasn't" my bad
  13.

My biggest question is, why aren't Lee and Anderson playing? Don't want to burn their redshirts?

Cethan Carter has hands of stone. I can't even count all of the drops he's had. Why is he playing?

    Where are Wilbon and Taylor?

First off, Lee and Anderson are not ready to play physicality wise. And I will continue to trust the coaches as to why Wilbon and Taylor don't see the field. There are legitimate reasons. Just because they have shown flashes here and there doesn't make them good running backs. I'm not saying they aren't good backs. But there is a lot more that goes into being a good back then grabbing the ball and going forward.

While I understand all that, lavonte david was smart enough to pick up Bo's scheme. We all know how that turned out. Just saying some guys are just gamers.
