Just dawned on me as I was looking at all the 2016 offers we have already - maybe we've done that for awhile but there seems to be more. Els moves to the non-coaching recruiting coordinator position and Samuel comes in as LB coach.
This I could see happening.
-
Didn't know if I needed to start a new topic or what, so if this needs to be moved. please move it. I saw this post on twitter. Another rumor on coaching changes, but not the head coach.
Sources say Tony Samuel will return to Lincoln as a #Huskers defensive position coach, starting after the first of the year.
Defensive line or linebackers?
The guy didn't say and he did not reply yet to the same question. Tony coached some pretty good players back in the day. He's not the best head coach, but he is a good assistant. He played DE at Lincoln, so he knows the position. I would take either position. Replace Els or Pap, take your pick.
-
Why would we want him? He's way worse than anything we've had.
Gonna have to agree with Beanman. It would be a set back. He doesn't have the skill set that we need. Unless it near the goal line...then maybe. But why bury Stanton and T.A. on the depth chart just to bring in someone who has less talent. Jmo.

Solid win boys!! Miles has this team going in the right direction. Btw..smith is a stud coming off the bench

this is the stuff i like to see in recruiting... hop on a plane and get this sh#t done!!! good job Rich!!!
I could be wrong, but wasn't it Fisher who went to T.Newby last year and convinced him to rethink his Cal commit. Which worked out well for us. Anyway, close strong Fish, close strong!!
He may have visited Newby, but Newby was never commited to Cal.
You r correct. I didn't mean to put him being a Cal commit. I am glad though that we have fish on johnson. Good things can happen.

Washington job just opened up, maybe he will go there.
2 words..orgeron/Lupoi ..be nice to have one of these guys on our staff. Though, I think Tosh.goes with sark. A guy can dream can't he??
-
The only thing that I have heard from a semi realiable person is that he is going to actively look for a lower tier HC job and if it is the right fit, then he is gone.
Would Wyoming be lower tier enough? Then we can get christianson as our oc. Just spit-balling here.

Could be the biggest get of the 2014 class! Welcome
+1.
Huuge get. Our dline just got nastier. Will be an instant contributer to the d. Got him for 2 yrs.

Welcome aboard chance!!!!

I can see both t.a and Johnny get playing time. I think beck will play a 2 qb system, unless someone really doesn't grasp the offense. Both kids have different attributes that they can bring to the table. No clear cut starter at this point.
-
Good post. Only silver lining is that a lot of young guys played. Especially at qb. If tmart did not get injured, t.a. would not have gotten real game exposure. Which, fans have been calling for our backups.

Posts like this are worthless.Bo should just read all the message boards. We have the best coordinators, ad, s&c, PR people on the internet. If he did that and that alone, I bet he would go undefeated and win a championship.
So is half the crap that is being suggested he does. Bottom line is, we may not know anything till after the bowl if anything is going to stay the same or not. But, for right now, he should just lie low, take his lumps, prepare his team for a bowl.

Did you look at the stands yesterday. They already have stop coming. Something that's been eluded to several weeks prior to this.
It was black Friday. People were sleeping. Yeah, I'm going with that.
-
It seems to me the Bo-backers are suffering from something similar to battered wife syndrome. "He only gets mad because he loves me so much". "He only tells me to go blank myself because he's so passionate". "I have to stay with him because no one else would want me". "Its my fault , I make him do these things"
Its kind of sad really.
Um no, bad analogy.

Brown is not a head coach. Awesome position coach. That's it
-
The media needs to stop instigating reaction from Bo. They need to stop this bullsh#t reporting. Bo is correct when he says they are distracting the program. The media is not helping the cause when they are constantly writing and asking about Bo's status. They are almost putting him on the hott seat. Someone needs to beat the sh#t out of Brian or Sam.

Ameer should be on this list. I'm not familiar with any of the others but how many players in the country play as hard as Ameer? He's an outstanding RB. This is a bummer.
Williams is a beast. Carey is going a lot off of his reputation from last year but had really started tearing it up recently. Stanky could be easily substituted with Ameer. Like I said, touchdowns is difference between the two.
Agreed on Williams..stud. Carey is good and should be on there. Stankey, meh, good, but ameer could replace him easily. What makes AA awesome is the line he has is on life support. Plus, u take AA out of our offenseiam and we r the same team. But I am biased. I think ameer is better than all of them. He's done more with less.
-
Big task..hold on to the ball. 20-25 carries for AA. Blitz Ruddock and he will make mistakes. Weisman will be a load. Lb will be have to be gap sound.

How about a 10-3 finish this year? I think that'd help coach Pelini. I seem to recall Pelini and Jammal Lord getting it done winning their bowl game over Michigan State to complete a 10-3 record back in 2003 when Pelini was NU's interim head coach. He finishes 10-3 with a bowl victory this season - and this is a mute point. After that,
maybe Pelini can recruit a 5-star running back and find the next Mike Rozier.
Agree this may be a mute point if we go 10-3, but we don't need a 5* rb. We've done more with less *
