Put in Noah - maybe not as much natural talent, but smarter between the ears.

Change quarterbacks and lets get back into this game.

Purdue has less talent and more heart.

Time for an efficient quarterback.  Purdue is being kept in this game because of mistakes.

Nebraska did a lot of positive things today.  I see definite progress.  Losing in double overtime does suck.

We have a great coach, and players who never gave up.  Time to be positive and supportive, and not pathetic

whining fans.  

Black shirts looked good today.  Offense underperformed.  Nice punt return.  If we fire on all  cylinders we will be awesome... 

This game will wake up the offense.  Colorado's environment will be difficult to play in.

This weeks practice should be awesome.....

Glad South Alabama the first game.  Out of sync....

I could care less what uniform they wear as long as they win.  

The poll shows about a 55/45 split on whether this game is a rivalry game or not.  I would guess about 55 out of 100 people would agree with my assessment ( 54.41% CURRENTLY - don't view the game as a rivalry game).  The important thing for Nebraska is to get ITS swigger back, and to find a worthy rival.

For Nebraska fans relevance means playing important games - games that make or break a season (championships for Nebraska).  Iowa/Iowa State fans don't have the expectations that Nebraska fans have -  So a game for bragging rights in Iowa means something for them - Get the picture?

The Nebraska and Iowa game doesn't mean anything.  When Nebraska had Oklahoma as a rival, it was because the winner usually became the Big 12 champs and might play for a national championship.  It ruined the year for the loser of that game.  When both teams are relevant - decide the division and play for championships - They could become rivals.  

Iowa/Iowa State is a rival game.  Michigan/Ohio State is a rival game.  Wisconsin/Minnesota is a rival game.  Nebraska really doesn't have any rivals.  With Scott Frost coaching Nebraska to relevance - we just might find a rival in the Big Ten. 

Coach will handle it:

Frost knows how many football players smoke - He was in the NFL and has seen the wide use.   Frost knows that Nebraska has a lot of very

conservative fans and needs to address the image of the program.  He will address them as young men who need to see the bigger picture.

Chew some a$$ and get back to football.  This is really a very minor thing.  

This is why Scott Frost said the program was in worst shape than he thought it would be in.  A complete rebuild.

I trust Osborne knew what he was doing.  Pelini won a lot of games at Nebraska and his personality was that of a Defensive coach.

The players loved him and he brought a lot of fire.  I'd take him over Mr. Nice Guy Mike Riley ....

Bo - was a good coach who should of never been fired.  Solich also got the short end of the stick.  I think if you asked Frost he would agree they both were

good coaches.  Nebraska hopefully learned by the bad decisions and will give Frost time.  Solich knew what he was doing and Bo had some much needed 

passion.

Huskerfan92, I am not ready to fire Riley yet. He runs a completely different system then Bo. I still believe that he can do good things with his own players in here. It's hard to run a pro style offense with a QB that is an "athlete". We have to give the guy time. I don't want to cut him loose yet. In a few years, if things aren't improving and he isn't making the necessary changes, then yes! If you look at the first half of the season we were on lucks bad side. If we started out 4 or 5-0 would we even be having this convo. Most likely not.

This team stinks, and it isn't because of Bo - it is poor coaching - This is on

Shawn Eichorst and Mike Riley - Two bad hires... Nebraska has lost to a lot

of very poor quality teams this year...

Let's hope Barney Fife has a hot hand this half...

Let's see how good of a coach Riley is. Nebraska is behind at half to a horribly bad

team. Even an average coach should be able to pull out a win. Let's see what this

seasoned professional does. When Shawn Eichorst hired Riley he said it was to compete

for Big 10 championships - this is not a rebuilding year.

It amazes me how many people are willing to defend Bo Pelini. I can't understand it. It's craziness. It's almost a sickness.

 

How can a Nebraska fan have any respect for the guy? He's got no respect for you.

 

He hates your program. He wishes he had never come here and he wanted to get out a long time ago. It's your fault Husker fans. It's your fault Eichorst. We made this too hard for him and it almost cost him his life or eventually would have....right?

 

He's poisoned what was once one of the most unified fan/team relationships in the history of this game.

 

If you'd have told me that one guy would come into this program and create so much division and toxicity, I'd have said NO WAY, NOT HERE. It won't ever happen at Nebraska.

 

Instead, some of the classiest fans in the country, and a team that is usually full of some of the most passionate, classy, loyal, committed, hard working, non-stop high integrity type of players, is now full of resentment for the very people that load the stadium 90,000+ strong, even when some players make it obvious as ever that they don't want to be here and they hate playing for the Big Red.

 

We've got a Husker legacy player flipping off the Husker crowd? How the hell could a kid whose father played as an All American Center at Nebraska, now have such a lack of respect for this program? If a legacy player feels that way, imagine some of Bo's even more loyal minions who aren't born and bred Husker red.......

 

And we've got fans who still jock ride the guy who preached this garbage every Sunday like a pastor to the church.

You are serious mental. Bo was a good coach - you have a very distorted view. Tony Fitzpatrick flipped off a Miami player

after the loss to Miami in 1984 - players play to win. Osborne was also passionate - and he appreciated Pelini.

Funny how so many people know Pelini and how BAD he was for Nebraska. He called out fans that left during the

Ohio State game because they were fair weather fans. We now have a nice coach - and our football sucks.

Nebraska fans (the best in college football), don't have coaches breaking down the door to coach here because of the

treatment of coaches - Solich and Pelini. Win 9 games at Nebraska and get fired..... The Administration at Nebraska is mental.

Bo was a good coach, which players cared about. Riley is a great guy and marginal coach.

If you have to bad mouth a prior coach to justify a current coach - the problem is with the

current coach.

I don't get the Bo hatred - I wonder sometimes if people on this board ever played football.

There are more passionate coaches which are a lot like Bo. Jim Tressel hired Bo for a reason.
