I hate this post. It's toooo correct and has way too good punctuation... I hope no one reads itSome folks need to chill out in this thread, fair warning, name calling isn't allowed, attack the post and not the poster.
But hey, you're a nice guy

This is all just a Kansas City Shuffle boys and girls. It is Tressel, and Frost.
I don't know anything about the Kansas city shuffle
But I'd do the truffle shuffle to get Tressel

I bet SE is just slipping people different coaches so that they can all tell everybody and have all these rumours about different coaches...a true ginger assassin

Just thought I'd throw this in here...
Jim Tressel's wikipedia page was first edited to say he's the head coach for Nebraska at 2am this morning...

You forgot Washington part 2 in 2010
Our ranks for comparison....if it matters
2008 Virginia tech - NR
2009 Texas tech - 15
2009 Iowa state - NR
2010 Texas - 5
2010 Washington (neutral) - 18
2011 Northwestern - 9
2012 Wisconsin (neutral) - 14
2013 Iowa - NR
What does this tell us?
I don't really know but losing to an unranked team as a top 10 team pretty terrible. In 2011 we beat #9 Michigan state the week before and # 12 Penn state the next week if those wins are any consolation.

My brother and I were kicking around the idea of going to the conference championship game if Nebraska is fortunate enough to make it there. Then I thought, if we win the big ten, there's a sliver of a chance we'll make it to the playoffs. And I absolutely want to go to the playoffs
When I brought this idea up to my brother, in his mind we are a lot more likely to lose and not make the playoffs so we shouldn't hold out for the playoffs and just go to the conference championship game.
We also kind of had this scenario in 2012 when we thought that we were a sure shot for the rose bowl. We did end up going to the conference championship game that year. In hind sight I'm sure I enjoyed going to Indy and losing more than I would have the cap one bowl regardless of the outcome.
I know some of us are willing to "make a trip" to one post season game, but would you rather attend the conference championship or take a risk for the game after that being a top level game or an afternoon Jan 1 game? So what have you guys done in the past?
I hope I'm right in assuming most people who would go to the ccg aren't also going to the bowl and vice versa. Nobody's made of money so you have to pick one. Or don't go to either but that's no fun.

Was looking through their roster and noticed the quality of writing contained in their bios...
...2014: Redshirt senior ... Team captain ... Ranks tied for eighth all-time at Northwestern with 23 career passing TDs and ninth in career passing yards (4,771) ... Ran for a career-high three touchdowns at Penn State ... Finished 15-of-25 passing vs. Western Illinois ... Threw for 268 yards and a touchdown against NIU ... Completed 23 passes for 229 yards against Cal ... Threw a 54-yard touchdown pass and caught a 17-yard touchdown pass against Golden Bears ... Named NU's Offensive Player of the Week vs. Northern Illinois and Offensive Big Playmaker vs. Penn State.

Wait, wut?Told of Bo Pelini's intention to discuss the clapping with the Big Ten office, Dantonio suggested that Nebraska's center ought to look at the quarterback instead of relying on him to call for the football.
if Tommy 's 7 or more yards behind the neutral zone when Mark looks back to snap, Mark'll get 1 second from deliberate defensive contact
So there's that...

I think an undefeated Nebraska against Wisconsin with no conference losses would be a bigger game this season. Wisconsin only plays Maryland and Rutgers from the east division. That matchup would likely decide the west division winner.
But I guess there's always a chance Wisconsin (or us) drop one or two to someone in the west.

Will there be an undefeated B1G team after week 5? Other than Nebraska of course.
Well...Penn state and Rutgers are both undefeated and they play each other today...so I'll say Penn state will be undefeated after week 5.

Just a few quick things before I'll be able to post the next analysis later on today: First, I am not now, nor have I ever been, a football player in any college team, nor am I a coach and/or other staff member at any college or professional team. It is my dream to someday be a coach, on any level, but I am not a coach right now. Also, I wished I was Scott Frost. OC for oregon, former Husker, won a national championship... that was my dream. Unfortuntely, I wasn't able to make it on a college team.
As for doing an analysis of the defense? Well, I am much more of an offensive kind of mind, but I could try!
Yes but are you now, or have you ever been employed by football outsider? HahaSo, you guys liked this kind of post, then? If you want to learn more about the behind the scenes aspect of football, there are some great scheme oriented websites, like Football Outsider, that have all sorts of good articles. If you just liked how I analyzed the Huskers in particular, I'd be happy to do my best to try and analyze Bo Pelini and John Papuchis' defense... but I'll put it in a different topic so as not to disrupt this one's focus on the offense. If you guys want me to.

Great post, can't wait for the rest of this analysis. Is there going to be one for the other side of the ball as well?
