  1. yeh i'd bet old man musberger might agree with you blackshirt! I love how the announcers always feels it necessary to tell us "those are actually deuces ladies and gents, not boos!!" "you see, they like to holer names reel loud that make an oooooo sound, b/c it sounds like booze and give us somethin to run our traps about!! :wasted

  2. Yer damn right i care!!! damn tom, you got me britches all soggy. or maybe that was from the megalo nachos I washed down las night with tha pound o onion rings.. either way, if its possible for a fat man in a little coat to be verclempt, thats what I am gerdummit.

man I don know bout the resta yous, but i cud care les if TT got any of these piks right, this stuff is jus plain funny i dun care who ye are. bummed yous leavin this place T, im gonna miss yuou like mangino misses that doggy bag from the buffet line. good luk with those b-cats coach. Option right!!

  3. Then, in steps Callahan. This is a guy who went to the Super Bowl the next year with Gruden's system and got beat like a redheaded stepchild by that very same Gruden - then fell to 4-12 the next year when he tried to use his own system - the worst fall for a Super Bowl team in NFL history. Was publically criticized, not by the typical loudmouths, the Sharpes and Sapps of the world, but Wooden, Brown and...Gannon??? Normally low-key guys.

From what ive read lately Irish you make some relly good points, but i have to call you on this one. maybe this charlie wooden guy is low key, but the charles woodson Im familiar with is a large mouth arrogant ass. you kno the same guy that just got picked up for being a drunken idiot and harassing women in oakland at 3 am?

and i agree with DJR. if your gonna say it wasnt Callahans team he took to the 'bowl you cant then turn around and say it was grudens who won it. IMO callahan's stint in the NFL as HC was inconclusive. and of course teh jurys still out on him at the college level, and anyone who feels otherwise is being ridiculous, and are the same people that would probly try to say their newborn baby doesnt work right b/c he cant talk or walk. ;)

  5. This board is nothing but one long argument....not a discussion....an argument....the Haters on this site turn every single thread into an opprtunitry to bash BC or Steve Pedersen, the haters look at our posts for any opening to spew vile and mostly basless crap....it almost impossible to talk about a recriut or even the schedule without some a-hole hater flaming the thread out with some rant on how BC's wife is a shoplifter or Cosgrove forced Ruud to take roids....I try to post like I was sittin across the table from who ever I am responding to...these haters are online rambos who would never talk this trash to our faces....nobody who likes his fellow man or even wants to get home in one piece treats others as the haters do.......

The People who run this board need to take the hater threads to the smack section of this board or risk having nothing but a BC deathwatch site....thats what this place is coming too.....get control of this place or just bann me before I bann myself......please sir....can I have another

while i respect you Arm this would never work. how could they creat a board where everything was of one opinoin? i wudnt want to try it. near impossible. IMO its not that bad anyway. yes some people are upset, but the people who constantly rant with no purpose is really a small fraction overall. personally when someone says somethin in a thread Im posting in I don agree with I just ignore it and keep talking about what the post was started for. if eveyrone just does that it will be fine. no board is gonna be perfect but this one comes prtty close.

  6. ive got some inside info on this and from what ive heard he will be prolly be bringing other coaches who have coaching experinece with him. take it for what its worth.

  7. This is one of those questions that's always made me curious.

Often times you'll hear statements like "Coaching doesn't matter in college...it's all about talent".

Or "team x is more talented than team y"...etc.

So, what defines talent that's not related to coaching? Speed endurance and strength can be trained, technique can be coached, size is just...well...size.

Instinct, then? Or is "talent" just the cap on the level of physical performance one can be trained?

    What do y'all think?

    IRISH!

This is a gud discussion. talent to me is height and speed and overall athletic abiility.

and I like your "caines" reference. nice! :thumbs

  8. ayayay yai!!! this pud ceases to amze me! sure we dont know the whole story sure this happnes all the time sure this houston guy might be a scumbag himslef. but guess what, all that is friggin irrelevant. the pud has defaced the U of N once again. this is not healthy folks and bad karma for the U. we dont need this bush league crap at a premier instituion like UNL, bottom line. the scumbag pudbag needs to go. there are plenty of other qualified people out there that can run an esteemd athleic program effectivly and not fall on their face and make us look as bad as absolutely possible in every situation possible when it isnt even clsoe to necessary.

i jus cant believe that a guy like this whos suppsd to be this genuis businss man is making all these cardinal sin bumblefuk mistakes. i mean everyone konws in businss and all walks of life that you NEED ALLIES!! and thers no point in burning bridges when you don have to. all this guy has is adversaries. reminds me of anoter rednek who happns to be running our great country.. how do these trashbag used carsalesman jerkoffs not die off???!!! find a car lot stevie mcPud, and go there and get away from my school!!!!!:bat:steam

Patriots GM eyeing Solich for “new vision”

    by Jason Sherwood

    Boston Globe

    Thursday, December 9, 2004

In the modern, topsy-turvy “what have you done for me lately?” world of today’s National Football League, no coach’s job is safe, no matter how successful he’s been in the past.

Such is the case with Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick, who, despite winning two Superbowls in the past three years, is currently on the hot seat in New England. Though Belichick has guided his team to an AFC-best 10-1 record thus far this season, anonymous sources around the League feel that Patriots General Manager Scott Pioli has become concerned over the possibility that the team could be stuck with Belichick if former Husker head man Frank Solich were to take a job in college football.

Pioli, considered by many to be the top GM in the NFL, has long had his eye on Solich and his former recruiting coordinator, Dave Gillespie, whom he calls “the top talent evaluator in the game at any level.” Team sources have cited a strong desire on the part of Pioli to get the deal done in order to bring a “new vision” to the New England Patriots franchise. “He is dead-set and determined to get this deal done,” said a source close to Pioli.

Though a perplexing scenario to many fans and casual observers, League insiders are calling the move to woo Solich a “stunning stroke of genius” and point to impressive career wins over Troy State, McNeese State and San Jose State as the “straw that broke the camel’s back.” Pioli is reportedly ecstatic about the possibility of landing what he terms “the big two”—a reference to Solich and Gillespie.

Gillespie, described by the League personnel with whom I spoke as a “man of vision” and a “keen evaluator of talent,” could be the real steal here. Despite some brilliant personnel moves by the Patriots’ front office in recent years, both in free agency and the draft, it is believed that the opportunity to land Gillespie as part of a package deal would be too hard to pass up.

“Dave is the best in the business,” one source said. “It’s almost like he’s operating at an entirely different level than the rest of us. He sees things that no one else sees. It’s almost like he has a crystal ball.”

One thing is certain: Pioli will move quickly and decisively to secure the dynamic duo, and hopes that the team can be turned over to Solich in time for the AFC playoffs. Gillespie, who would become the Patriots new Director of Scouting, would then have a full four months to mastermind the team’s draft-day strategy and off-season personnel evaluation.

When reached for comment, Solich denied having been contacted by anyone from the Patriots organization, but an anonymous source close to the former Husker head man says that Solich is privately thrilled about the opportunity to install his patented ‘Solich Juggernaut System™’ in the National Football League and feels that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be a formidable threat in the sprint option package.

A formal offer to Solich and Gillespie is expected to be made by the weekend. We will have more information for you as this story unfolds.

    blasphemy. downright blasphmey!!

  11. Whats the big deal?  It's all about winning right?  All about winning national titles.  Right pederson?

I don't think he is responding your posts anymore. Shouldn't it be about winning National Titles? Isn't that what every team plays for?

lol. you mean the Pud doesnt respond to the Nard anymore??? oh well i gues that makes sense since he did fire "solich needed" nearly a yr ago now. well theres always the patriots!! :woo

  12. WTF ever. this bag of his will now be coming away with half his winnigs so she is doing fine, and apprently the money wasnt the reason she stayed wit him it was prolly the reason she left!! but sounds to me lke this guy will find that money will get him a lot closer to happy than he was before. sheet now that his wife is leaving heiwll be able to buy at least 1 chik named happy for every day of the rest of his life. sounds like a good time to bobbie!!! :wasted
