  1. This may be reading way to much into one tweet but I wonder if the coaches adjusted their attitude as the year went along. Early on, they quickly put a stop to any fighting in practice. Not that you want a lot of it but some dust-ups here and there are probably signs of this same "edge". Now they seem to be accepting it.

I was just watching the '95 game against Oklahoma, the announcer was talking about how in practice they had something like four fights. Someone asked an assistant about it and his reply was "I'm glad I'm not Oklahoma"

  2. Okay, this isn't as bad as we think it is. Guess who has all of the flashy uniforms recruits like? Oregon. It's hard to win being Oregon state. I'm going to wait a season before I judge him. People, don't instantly come to conclusions. We need to welcome the guy to nebraska and actually SUPPORT THE TEAM rather then bash everyone.

  3.

It shouldn't matter what Osborne thinks of Eichorst's decision. I respect Osborne immensely, but Eichorst doesn't need Tom's approval

But he should listen to Osborne's advice.

    Why?

Because a certain field in a certain stadium is named after a certain person for a damn good reason.

  4. Sure, Bo's a good coach. He gets his nine wins a season and goes and wins the taxslayer.com gator bowl every now and then. But guess what, we don't care about the taxslayer.com gator bowl. We want to play for that nice and shiny National Championship trophy. We should be blowing out Minnesota, not giving up 400 some yard to Wisconsin, not winning in Overtime against Iowa, and not squeaking by McNeese. We should be dominating those teams, the kind of blowing them out 60-zip and were not even done with the first half domination (okay maybe I'm kidding...maybe). We want to see our defense completely dominate, playing physical, up in your face football. We want to be the team that everyone hates except out fans, the team that QB's fear more than anything in the world (other then that creepy Purdue mascot). We want to be in the top 5 every year, we want to play in the national championship game every year. Maybe Bo's a good coach for Colorado, or Illinois, but he's not a good coach for Nebraska.

Edit: It seems as though this thread has turned into an argument, I'll say this: this is my opinion. Don't like it? Okay then, that's nice. You have that right, I'm not going to go cry in my corner because someone on the internet disagreed with me.

  5. Pelini's a good coach, sure, for a team like Colorado, or Indiana, or Illinois. He can go win some taxslayer.com gator bowl or a pacific life holiday bowl or whatever crappy bowl we get put in, but guess what, that's not good enough for Nebraska. We want to be in the national championship, we want to play physical football, we want to completely dominate anything that steps on the field in front of us. We don't want a coach that barely slips past Iowa, McNeese, or takes a loss to Wisconsin getting his defense completely bulldozed over. Here in Nebraska, we want to win national championships, not taxslayer.com gator bowls....
