  1. Ohio State's loss last night was nothing more than a team being fat, happy, and content. They spent all spring and summer hearing how great they were going to be this year, and how many weapons they had their disposal to light up the scoreboard. That offense sucked all year. Some of their blowout wins weren't blowouts until late in the game. It is not entirely the fault of Tim Beck, though it is funny how once he was hired that offense seemed to go downhill.

Last year, Ohio State played with that chip on their shoulder and played as a team, not a bunch of individuals. You saw Evan Spencer make a key block in the Sugar Bowl, you saw guys selling out for each other.

I realize Elliot was emotional after the game, but declaring for the draft in that fashion, much like Jones speaks to the selfishness of the team. It goes back to the suspensions for the first game, it goes to Barrett getting drunk, and it goes to guys wanting their numbers as much, if not more than the win. I'm as big a Nebraska fan as anyone on this board, but I went to Ohio State as did most members of my family and extended family, so I follow both pretty closely.

Wouldn't it be even better if Nebraska basically wrecked the B1G conference's chances of having an undefeated team at the end of the season? One more to go Friday.

If anyone has a picture of the scoreboard from the Michigan State Nebraska game a couple weeks ago, I would like to use it as my profile pic on facebook, just to get under the skin of my buddies up in Ohio. I asked for the same thing on another thread so we'll see.

  2. Ohio State had 14 lousy points on two drives totaling 38 yards thanks to Sparty turnovers.

Ohio State had 132 total yards of offense.

Nebraska had 144 yards on 14 plays in the last 4 minutes of the game two weeks ago.

Love to see Nebraska beat Iowa Friday so we can brag about beating both participants in the B1G championship game

  3. Might cause us to throw less. And actually improve our offense! LET IT SNOW!!

The Riley-Langsdorf philosophy of the first few weeks would have had the Huskers pitching it around about 50 times; it appears they've learned a little bit what works, so maybe they simplify things if the weather is that bad

  4.

If more that 1 team from a conference gets to go the final 4, that is a scam to me.

Correct. See 2012 for LSU vs. Alabama. To me that game was a scam...

A scam on so many levels. Remember in 2006 when tOSU and Michigan went into the final game as #1 and #2 in Columbus. Talk was if the game was close we might see a rematch in the BCS Championship game that year. But, the SEC griped that there shouldn't be a rematch because "that game's been played", "Michigan had their chance" ......... But, because it was two SEC teams in 2012, they were talking it up a week or two before the game to make sure that everyone knew it should be some sort of double elimination.

It just seems we all had to pay the SEC back for leaving Auburn out in 2004 and having USC beat the tar out of Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl/BCS Championship game

  5. We learned that we should probably be about 8-3 at the worst, if the coaches had coached the way they did these last two games, in the first nine games. We would not have seen 3-6 with what we have seen the last two weeks from a play-calling standpoint.

BTW, did you see how many points North Carolina dropped on Miami today?

  6.

Indiana has 225 yards rushing against Michigan (giving up only about 80 ypg) Good game going on there in Bloomington

Okie State came back to win

That is too bad. I really wanted to put an epic beat down on an undefeated Iowa.

    Your comment is very confusing.

I misread the quote. I read it that Iowa lost. Never mind. I am overly happy about the Husker winning streak :)

Hey, we're all giddy, what with the two game streak

  7.

The Rutgers coach has made some curious decisions today. Finally, someone else's turn, I guess.

    Flood is done.

He looks and acts like it. The only difference is, with only a handful of fans there, who really cares about Rutgers football?

They cared and showed up when Greg Schiano was winning there. Just sayin'.

You are correct about that. Flood has driven them off the road. It was thanks to Schiano's success they built that stadium. Now they could throw some lawn chairs on a track at a high school field and not sell out

  8.

Is the Rutger's O really bad, have our coaches adjusted, or do we have more healthy players. Why is the D doing so well today?

We are playing improved D but we're also playing against a bad O. Carroo is their one noteworthy player and he's playing on one leg.

They really are bad. A win is a win though.

One more and we are 500, more important though we go to a bowl and have an opportunity to win the game with a four game winning streak. That makes for a much better off season than finishing with a losing record.

Absolutely. Momentum to practice, recruit and get the seniors a bowl game. Go out on a high note.

And get Riley's winning percentage right on schedule ............... 53.8%
