It's been mentioned a couple times on this board that a number of the people on the dl are having issues with the coaches, most notably Vv. This issue I believe (I am speculating here) is the major cause for Vv considering leaving early.

No surprise with Hank Hughes. Nearly 4 decades of coaching d-lines and he manages to only get 3 lineman drafted... Very few all-conference selections as well. Todd Orlando's and Don Brown's (two of the top DC's in the game) schemes made his position look good on paper. The worst hire in Nebraska football history IMO.

Nebraska is undefeated against undefeated teams in November at home (with the exception of Oklahoma)

 

 

 

 

I've always been excited when Nebraska's faced undefeated teams. I was excited when we beat Missouri in 2010. We were undefeated at the time. I don't think people are excited to beat Iowa just because our record isn't good.

Not sure I've EVER been excited for us to play Iowa...And my favourite Nephew in Law is a Hawkeye fan...

I probably get more excited when Iowa State beats them...

Me either, but Iowa's never been 11-0 when we played them. I always wanted Colorado/Kansas State/Missouri/whoever to be undefeated when we played them, and then I was excited about it regardless of our record.

I was down on him for the two picks. Which were half on the coaches as well for continuing to put him in such positions. The two picks came in fg range and from the Sparty seven.

 

After that second pick he led three TD drives. And for the game was 19/33, 320 yards, 2tds, 2 picks. Rushed for a third td. Pretty damn solid.

 

Imagine if he could consistently hit the bubble screens.
