  1. I was board and reading about phobias (because it makes me feel better about myself) and I came across this hillirous phobia :

Anatidaephobia is defined as a pervasive, irrational fear that one is being watched by a duck. The anatidaephobic individual fears that no matter where they are or what they are doing, duck watches.

If anyone suffers from this I'm sure it is terrible and I'm sorry for laughing but its the funniest thing I've heard all day.

    :laughpound

That was invented by Gary Larson and first appeared in the Far Side comics.

    I just pooped a little!

    :hmmph

  2. How lucky is Villanova just to send this thing into overtime? They were dead in the water with about three minutes to play, down eight. Lucky, lucky, lucky.

That non-jump ball call was crap IMO. That one point Nova gained on that is looking awfully big. But then the guy didn't lay it in for Nova and missed a free throw. I guess it balances out.

Villanova playing like this gives me some confidence about Duke beating them though if that matchup happens.

  3. I may be cheating by living on campus, but I'm tied with carlfense; 1.2 miles for me to drive to that intersection. Walking would be .7 miles according to Google. Quickest route to the stadium would be .5 miles (right down Vine Street in front of the Coliseum).

    From my non-campus location, it's 25.1 miles.

Where do you live? Abel/Sandoz? The Courtyards? Or are you in a house?

    I live in Abel.

Do you know a crazy kid named Mat that lives there? 8th or 9th floor?

Hmmmm...not off the top of my head. I'm guessing he lives on 9 though...you can figure out why.

  6. I like the idea of renovating the east stadium and adding on. A new sound system is a MUST have item, it's painful to listen to that sound system now. It just plain stinks right now........ <_<

YES! If you're sitting in south stadium, you're lucky to catch every other word. Put some speakers on every screen pleaseokthanks.

  7. Is it just me, or are others feeling a (winner of play-in game) final four appearance this year? Because I sure am!

Any team that Nebraska beat either this season or last season will not make a Final Four...therefore Arkansas Pine-Bluff is out of luck.

Plus they're playing my almighty Duke Blue Devils...maybe if they were playing Syracuse who lost to division 2 Le Moyne college.

  8. Hahaha this is completely bogus. Here's "the story" which is on a blog with fake football news. Sort of Onion-like. Other stories on the site include one about Jamarcus Russell returning to LSU for his senior season (it was in his contract) and Chad Ochocinco changing his name to a unpronounceable symbol like Prince.

Suh gets an “0” on Wonderlic

Ndamukong’s (above) draft stock falls due to “perfect fail”

NFL Scouting Combine, Indianapolis – Many people’s consensus Number One overall pick, Ndamukong Suh, had a combine he would like to forget in a hurry. Despite posting good numbers on the athletic disciplines, it’s Suh’s Wonderlic score that is leaving NFL scouts searching for answers. RTLS’ insider at the scouting combine reported that Suh scored a “perfect” 0 out of 50 for the intelligence test. This score eclipsed the previous low (of 4) set by Darren Davis in 2000. Davis’ score was embellished by the 2 points given for spelling your name; so it’s safe to say that Ndamukong had trouble spelling Ndamukong to even register a 2!

So what does this mean for Suh’s draft prospects? Many still have him as a top round pick, with one un-named team official claimed that: “[…] Intelligence is over-rated anyways […]”, whilst others are sceptical at drafting a player who can’t even spell his own name right. One strong rumour that has been circling is Suh failed the test on purpose as he didn’t want to go to the St. Louis Rams first overall. Suh was unavailable for comment on the matter. If true no one could particularly blame him, however, it’s a novel way to control your drafting destiny and there are surely better ways to avoid being drafted by particular teams (see Eli Manning’s “hissy fit” in 2004). We will only really see the damage that laying the egg on the Wonderlic does come draft time in April.

Meanwhile in other news, Rich Eisen’s new record 6.25 in the 40-yard dash sees him moving up the draft boards at a rate of knots. However he’s likely to remain undrafted until he breaks the 6-second mark. RTLS.

  10. I don't follow the Combine so much, but is 14 reps on the bench that unusual for a Safety? They're not typically big guys.

Average for safeties was between 17 and 18 reps (17.68 to be exact). So 14 was below.
