A lot of times when I read about Clinton and the email stuff I remember she's about the same age as my mom. My mom runs a successful business and she knows nothing about computers or technology. The difference is Clinton probably has a huge ego and didn't think it was necessary to listen to the people who know what they're talking about when it comes to this stuff.

And before the "so why vote for her" people chime in, Trump would be even worse in my opinion. I can't imagine him having anyone but Yes Men around him.

lol, being SOS and running a business are totally different, and on a grand scale. Spin noted!

To the bold.. Do you think Hillary has yes "people" around her?

Reading comprehension is pretty important on a message board. I was criticizing her and you somehow failed to recognize it.

My point was my mom isn't retired and knitting and not knowing about computers. She's functioning as a business owner and knows nothing about computers. I used this as a comparison because someone can be a SOS without knowing about computers (which I think is Clinton because she's my mom's age) but they need to listen to what the tech people (and other experts) tell them. Clinton clearly didn't do that.

lol, show me what line you consider "criticizing her", because the way I read it, you were making excuses because your mom is a successful business woman, who is about the same age as Hillary and she doesn't know anything about computers or technology, either... see the correlation?

That statement pretty much fits, from what I have seen, your stance on Hillary... and your stance on Trump.

If I remember correctly, you complained about me being abrasive with my early posts, so why the first line? Don't you follow your own advice, or are you a do as I say, not as I do person?

Again, please read what I posted

How do you come away from THIS line, which was the entire point of my post, not understanding that I was criticizing her and thinking I was making an excuse???

The difference is Clinton probably has a huge ego and didn't think it was necessary to listen to the people who know what they're talking about when it comes to this stuff.

How do you not understand it's criticism??? I said Clinton has a huge ego. I said she ignored the experts who understand something she's ignorant on.

It's so confusing to me that you took it as anything but criticism that I had no other option than to make the reading comprehension comment.

And again with my mom, I'm saying she knows she doesn't know about computers but she would listen to the people who do know about them. But Clinton has a big ego and didn't listen. The whole point of the comparison is that lots of old people are totally ignorant on computers/internet so it's likely Clinton is too but it doesn't mean she's not capable of doing the job... As long as she doesn't ignore people like she did about the emails. I'M SAYING IT WAS STUPID.

Why am I trying to explain this for a third time?

Do I have to use fantastical words line "Clinton's such a dumb dumb like all those other libs for not listening to people who know what they're doing?"

I just don't get it. Let me try a 4th time.

Clinton probably ignored advice on internet security because she's an idiot who didn't think their advice was necessary. This is what I was saying in the original post, and the 2nd post, and the first part of this third post.

Well, I stepped in pretty good. I don't know how the hell I skimmed over that, pretty important line.. twice! I would try to blame it on all the games, but that doesn't explain my post a little bit ago.. geez, maybe I should be more careful reading "everything".

    My fault and my apologizes!

No worries. And I'm sorry for the "dumb dumb... libs" comment but I was going crazy, heh.

No, I'm the idiot for skimming over that part.. I formed an opinion base on the first sentence and skipped the rest.

  4. We're miles ahead of where we ended lasted year but still have some work to do.

Might as well just accept that guys are going to get penalized and ejected for playing the game correctly.

Finally got some 2nd and 3rd team players game experience, the way we want to.

Ozigbo runs hard and we've got Tre Bryant for a long time, and that looks to be a very good thing.

We have a long, long way to go!

Life gave us a great commentary on regulations today. 5.6 magnitude earthquake strikes Oklahoma, tremors are felt hundreds of miles away, but there are no deaths and very little property damage. Why? Because regulations stipulate that buildings are constructed to sufficient strength that they don't collapse.

Contrast that with the 5.6 magnitude quake from 2014 in Yunnan Province in China where over 9,000 homes were destroyed. Or the 2012 Yunnan earthquake that killed more than 80 people. Or the 2008 earthquake from Sichuan that killed more than 40 people.

    Regulations serve a purpose.

I realize my posts talked about regulations, that was my fault, I should have said excessive regulations, those are hurting the economy.. like the EPA regulations regarding man made climate change, which is why VW is in the mess the are in. TDI's before 2009 are ok to drive, but all of a sudden after 2008, regulations made it so that car manufacturers had to cheat. it isn't just Volkswagen.

They did not have to cheat. Their engineers elected to cheat. Plenty of other manufacturers did not do this. Further more these regulations level the playing field. If they are forced to meet the same regs no one can neglect health and safety to boost the bottom line over a competitor. You really think the indusrty would move to cleaner more efficient cars if the government didn't pushed them to?

Sure they would if the buying public forced them. Government isn't the answer to everything, shocker for some, I know.

Capitalism has always done a good job of pushing companies to change... Without government control!

EDIT: Like I said before, I know all about the situation.. I have two of those cars.

No. They wouldn't. The consumer needs a vehicle for daily life, therefore they buy what is there. Manufacturers have no interest in improvement to those things until we have issues like Katrina and recessions.I might know a thing or two working in the indusrty.

Yes, they would.. the rest is just silly

I get it, you are a government is best guy, as silly as that is, I get it.

EDIT: To the bold.. So do I, what do you do?

I'm am engineer for an OEM.

I'm not a government is best guy, I just understand that the government has a place and corporations have a long history of neglecting to do what's best for the long term. In automotive just look at car safety, efficiency, emissions, new technologies jn general. Some corps are better than others but American OEMs tend to be short sighted and stuborn about implementing knew technologies and standards.

We are going to agree to disagree.

There is a basic reason Hillary and Bill don't talk to the press. Every time their lips are moving, lies spew out! Bill was a professional liar while Hillary is not. She is not even a creative one. Being a bad liar is NOT a qualification for President. Both of them should be in jail. Their money grabbing schemes are not even close to being legal - the Democrats just can't have their spiritual royalty be honest and law abiding citizens - that just won't suffice - they need models we can all aspire to be! LOL

You are spot on with this. If anyone else lied to the FBI they would be locked up. How is she even allowed to run for POTUS except for the fact that she appears to be above the law. What if most striking is the difference in how elected party members respond to significant stories like this. When Trump screws up (such as with the Khan situation), you will see leading party officials come out and criticize him, whether its Rubio, Kasich, Bush, or others in Congress. Meanwhile, when there is evidence Hillary has lied again, what do we hear from elected Democrats...crickets. They need to be calling her out rather than standing by her in silence.

Please point me to where she lied to the FBI. Specifically.

Unbelievable, Hillary supporters will ignore anything she does.

  12. Hillary is saying she didn't know the 'C' meant classified. Yeah, that woman is qualified alright.

If this were Trump the Hillary fans would be all over him for being SOS and not knowing, of course she will get a pass from the diehards... again.

Take what Trump said and apply it to the Hillary supporters. She could kill someone and they wouldn't care.

  13.

Trump supporters of Huskerboard, how is that Powerful Black Outreach Tour Extravaganza 2016 going?

To a question submitted by Bishop Jackson about whether his campaign is racist, the script suggests that Mr. Trump avoid repeating the word, and instead speak about improving education and getting people off welfare and back to work. “The proof, as they say, will be in the pudding,” Mr. Trump is advised to say. “Coming into a community is meaningless unless we offer an alternative to the horrible progressive agenda that has perpetuated a permanent underclass in America.”
To the first question, “Are you a Christian and do you believe the Bible is an inspired word of God?” the scriptwriters have a response they hope will keep Mr. Trump from repeating previous stumbles when asked about his faith.
“As I went through my life, things got busy with business, but my family kept me grounded to the truth and the word of God,” the script has Mr. Trump saying. “I treasure my relationship with my family, and through them, I have a strong faith enriched by an ever-wonderful God."

I'll tell you how it's going.

    Completely scripted and totally insincere.

Does the red sound like stuff Donald Trump would say spontaneous and genuinely to anyone? If so you may want to get your head checked.

Do you think Hillary is scripted?

    I think most politicians are.

I also think Trump is a filthy hypocrite for railing against that only to flip flop now that he's losing badly and he knows his only prayer to win is to be a puppet and a mouthpiece for other people.

Seriously? ALL of them do this! This isn't your first rodeo, right? Then I am sure you know they all LIE and say whatever they have to to get votes.

So, why is this all of a sudden an issue?

Some think Trump is doing much better.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/m/c00cf76f-7a52-31e9-97a5-6aeb31ecb4f6/novak%3A-trump-scored-a-one-two.html

I sure wish we would hear more about Johnson and less about these two. I honestly don't think Gary cares about winning because it seems he isn't even trying.

This election sucks.. I may end up not voting at all.

  14.

A lot of folks put their birth year in their screen name.

I'm really hoping Huskerfan2000 is 16 years old.

What is the point of this post? I am 47 years old, just because I disagree with you doesn't mean you need to make it personal!

When I disagree, I make a comment about the post, some of those that are not happy with how I post actually make comments that degrade the poster.. ironic if you ask me.

Sorry. I'm just genuinely vexed and disappointed by the number of Americans who don't see through Donald Trump and/or discredited conservative bromides.

Always hoping they're not old enough to vote.

No problem.. and I won't be voting for Trump.. I just hate Hillary more, so I bag on her the most. It is also mind boggling how anyone would vote for that woman... IMPO

  15. Obama has spoken an unscripted line in about 8 years. He is not a good speaker but he reads the teleprompter fairly well.

Hillary chooses each and every weasel word carefully but still gets caught in bald faced lies every time she answers a question. That's why she's afraid to take a question and has not answered a single unscripted question truthfully in about a year. LOL And she's running for President. Good grief! Why would anybody vote for that evil woman.?

Trump has been criticized by so many for speaking off the cuff and has been answering questions and giving totally unscripted speaches and campaigning all over the country for a year! No other candidate has done this in a race for President in a half century. Attempting to complain because Trump actually plans what he says and then says it is pretty much silly.

    Yep, they are all scripted!

because of stricter EPA regulations, VW is in a world of hurt and has decided to stop selling diesel cars in the US.

You officially have zero credibility. Or you're just trolling. Either way... done.

    Wow...2000......you really went there?

    Maybe you can explain?

I know all about the VW situation, I have two of them.

    Short version?

    Volkswagen fukt up.

I say they did what they had to do to get around the restrictive regulations.

Again, I know full well what happened, I own two of those cars and I belong to a VW forum.
