Lol. Guys guys. I'm kidding. Geez. Just trying to feed into the negativity that we get from some others. Is he a little bigger then our normal receivers probably. I for one could careless what he looks like if he can get the job done. It cracks me up though how some cannot take jokes lol
I am not one to bash kids and their game, I'll have 2 hopefully being looked at and recruited soon enough. If you would like to start criticizing pm me and I'll give you my freshmans huddle account. Lol
Maybe making jokes about people who are going to intend our team isn't the best idea. Even if it is sarcasm we don't need to be hypercritical of them. I'm sure KJJ will try his hardest to help Nebraska win.

Good read.
I really like reading these types of comments from top recruits.
One of those taking notice is Gebbia’s teammate Darnay Holmes, an ESPN Jr. 300 cornerback. The No. 2 player in the state is being heavily recruited from team all over the country but is looking hard at the Huskers.
Prior to 2016, Nebraska had only landed one ESPN 300 recruit from California, going all the way back to 2006. That alone is a signal to Riley’s influence on the program’s recruiting.
The initial intrigue of Riley has gotten players interested, but once the recruits get to campus, they say that the Huskers’ coaching staff has a way of making the recruits feel at home.
Comfort level is always a big factor for prospects, and Holmes says that is one of the biggest things he noticed with the Nebraska coaches.
“Just the way they bring guys in and treat them like they’ve known them since day one,” Holmes said. “The coaches are just down to earth and they know what to do to get guys there. They tell you the truth, they don’t sugar coat anything and they just talk about what’s best for you.”
Bonus points if you know who the one ESPN300 recruit way back then was.
I'm gonna find you and kick you in the nads if you don't.

Well since I started this in my status update, I'll make a list. Over/under 4 of these guys come to Nebraska.
Gebbia
Holmes
Pickett
Lenoir
Echol
R. Johnson
Bynum
Carr
I'll add more as they come to me.
My bad MattyIce.
By the way, Big Red Buster that's' what I was kind of getting at. But, definitely, all those California boys are people he is definitely going after hard.

Keyshawn Johnson Jr. gets over 4 recruits to come here or under 4 anddddddd GO!I'll say over he's going to get at least two more in Cali. (thinking Gebbia for sure and Pickett or Johnson) I feel like he is a big time name and leader that will attract guys to visiting here and they will see how incredible UNL is. Hope I'm right.

This is a little off topic, but I'llpost it up anyway and get ready for the beat down ... again. Last year I posted a video of a Jr High player that was about to enroll at Katy. I was rudly accused of "pimping him out" ... but I was trying to give you guys a heads-up on him. He was brought up to varsity and put on the field when featured RB Kyle Porter (committed to u. of Texas ... yuck) was injured and out for 5 games. Here is how that turned out.
A freshman and he already has offers from Tennessee, Florida and Arkansas
Deondrick also plays wide-out and QB and most likely fits the Mike Riley template for a RB.
Another heads up ... we have another RB the runs a 4.26 40 yd. Timed electronically at the US Army combine in San Antonio last year. Didn't get to play last year ... was a transfer and had to sit out a year and play JV
Seems like a good fit for Washington, since that's where you think Adam Taylor should go. I don't know why you would want Deondrick to come here, I mean Nebraska is where great talent goes to die. Especially with the way our idiot head coach Mike Riley has treated Adam.

Dang, some super detective work there. And in response to the Katy fan, who knows with Adam Taylor. None of us have seen a practice so we do not know what is going on. Before jumping to conclusions and kind of sounding like an a**hole, look at it in another perspective. He has been injured a lot of us have suspected it has hampered him, who knows. Maybe, he is just lazy and doesn't put enough effort in for practice I don't know. We all want every player on our team to succeed, but sometimes there are things that hold you back from being the best that you just can't control. Sounds to me like AT is a team player and will do anything the coaches ask for him. That's called a team player right there, I hope he can get rid of his injuries and see the field playing runningback, but lets be real nobody knows besides the coaches as to why he isn't playing. If Riley and company thought he was better he would be playing. It's hard to understand as a fan, but if you saw in practice what they see you would be quick to agree.

Haven't had a chance to follow along much to his growth, but with this tweet and some other rumblings... sounds like we have a pretty good player coming in?
What are peoples thoughts on him?
I watched him in Grand Island against Aurora Colorado last month.
Very solid player. The game was extremely sloppy though on both sides. It was hard to get a real gauge for me on how good they are from that one game. It was like they all were trying to do too much and just would commit unforced turnovers.
I think he will be a solid contributor. There is actually another player that's a guard I am very interested to see how he does. I thought he was a junior this year. I can't remember the name though.
I believe you are thinking of David Wingett from Winnebago. He is about 6'7" and growing. Maybe someone that we should send out an offer to, wouldn't hurt is what I think.

Our size shows when they miss free throws. Made first miss 2nd get rebound missed put back and their big dunked and gets fouled. That should NEVER happen.
-
down 13. Atleast we havent given up
-
If we win Maryland is going to play their best half all year and then their worst half all year.
-
everytime i look in this forum i shed a tear.
-
I was hoping it was going to be 15 or under by half.. probably not going to happen
will be lucky if its under 25..
-
Thats the nail in the coffin. Back to back deep threes. Maryland just won't miss and there is nothing else we can do. Shooting over 70% right now.
-
about damn time they called that moving pick.. was pissing me off
No kidding. If we keep up on offense we just need better D and we would be winning.
-
Maryland can do it all against us. Shoot the 3 drop it down low. We have no answer this is going to be ugly.
-
Ridiculous. Obviously the 2-3 isnt working if we come back out in it Tim Miles is the worst coach ever. We weren't playing bad defense, they just kept making everything. We are getting frustrated and it is showing on the offensive floor by forcing too much stuff. Smart shots and play defense. C'mon Huskers.

Mike Riley might not be the problem and the last few weeks keep showing me this. This football team looks like they don't want to play football to me. Whether that be because these players don't want to play for Coach Riley or Riley just can't get them ready to play. Now, I'm not saying that everyone on the team doesn't want to play, but I can definitely see a few players who could care less what happens. *cough Gerry cough*Not sure if this is just my crazy theory or if everyone else sees lack of effort, but don't get me wrong there are still people trying, but some people definitely need to take a seat if they are not in 100%.I will take effort over talent any day.

Steve Sarkisian fired... this is where things get interesting!
-
Pelini was in a better boat I think. We are a solid team we are just weak on defense and our running backs are way below what we usually have. Everything else is pretty good. We need a good LB and DL class and a good RB and we will be fine. I love what we have on defense right now, we just need depth at LB and DE.
-
if we don't put up 40+ I will be greatly disappointed.
-
Alright, I know everyone has given their opinion and this is my first post. I've been reading these boards all summer.
First off, a few things I was disappointed in.
Not scoring any points in the second and fourth quarters. We need to score in these quarters to win games period.
Pass defense was below average but stepped it up in the 2nd half.
Offensive line was very weak.
Last drive of the game we rushed 3 or 4. Especially the last play I wish we would have blitzed a backer off the left side. Don't on hail mary's the QB's usually roll to their strong arm side? Just strange that I've never seen any coach blitz off that side.
A few positives.
This team has a lot of talent. I was very impressed with Dedrick Young and Josh Banderas they look good. Our line consistently got good pressure, but they just couldn't finish a lot of the time which was kind of unlucky.
Armstrong looks like a better QB. We need to get a run game going though and this could be a special offense. Westerkamp is the most reliable guy on our team. Once Demornay Pierson-El is back this offense will be special.
The energy the blackshirts played with once Sam Foltz went down was amazing. Shows the potential they can have when they get fired up.
All in all I think we showed a lot of upside. I think we won't be a dominant team this year until around Wisconsin, but I'm definitely excited about next year we lose hardly anyone. This team is still a 9-10 win team.
