Hm?    I agree there is way too much negativity but nearly all of the opinions expressed hereon are done with the intention making the Huskers better.   Not sure 'shut up' is fair.  Perhaps the most negatives could be phrased a tad less harsh but honest views ought to be offered freely.

That’s fine, but if I go to see any thread about a recruit or something Riley being gone always gets brought up and everyone gets all pissy.

So since all of you are so experts why would we allow Riley to hire a big name D-coordinator just to fire Riley the first year we have him? Do you really think Frost wants to come here? I’ve heard of multiple coaches who have turned us down and if you think Riley was Eichorsts first choice you’re wrong.

  2. We aren’t firing Riley this year so just get over it. Honestly all the talk is getting so annoying and way too much negativity. Are we a good team? Not really, but he’s going nowhere so either support the team or shut up.

I was sitting in a spot where I could tell our pouty fan base was quiet as church after every run of 5+ yards. Only got loud when it was 3rd down. Even then, it doesn't even compare to Michigan State 2 years ago.

My throat and head kill today, because I laid it on the line... something I can't say many fans around me did.

God bless Matty the all-American fan.

  4. Saw the OWH brought this up on twitter and thought it’d be interesting to see what I did. So far looks like the best guys to pick are Lindsay, Deontre Thomas, Roberts, Jaimes, maybe throw Bradley in there as well. Couple of others who are getting a lot of hype Guy Thomas, Daniels, McQuitty, Gebbia, are some guys who have been mentioned in a little bit who seem pretty good! It’ll be fun to see how close we get maybe making another after their careers and ranking the class and seeing who picked best.

At least don't be obnoxious about it. During the 2011 game, there were these 2 really annoying (probably drunk) OSU fans that tried to be as obnoxious as possible. The section I was in made sure to give it back to them 10 fold after the comeback happened.

Yup I’ll agree with this. 2015 Iowa game had an Iowa fan behind me yell quit cheating every time Nebraska had a penalty. It took all of me not to start cussing him out to shut up.

I would be.  He is knowledgeable.  A proven winner.  He'd have to get a rock solid OC to help him out.  Maybe not "meddle" with the O.  Get a great DC as well.  IMO, Miles is a great CEO who can recruit and is entertaining.  He likes power running and TE's.  Throw in FB as well.....He hasn't ben able to develop a QB.  Neither have we.  That's why I think a great OC is a must.  Would Troy Calhoun from AF come here as an OC?  Who knows.  He'd need a great DC as well.  He had them at LSU and did well.  His downfall was inability to get a QB...Overall record 142-55 including okie St and LSU....

I think fans would appreciate the smash mouth approach he likes.  Still would have some solid name recognition.  The way he was fired might not make him a "splash" hire, but at least no one would need to google his name....We could do a lot worse.

He is like 64 and stubborn.  Said he couldn't "evolve" LSU's offense.  Hence the reason for a sharp OC.

I agree all about this. I would be all for Les Miles, if he hires a good OC. Also, I think we could keep Parella, Williams, Williams, and Diaco. I honestly just want a coach who is a football genius. Riley doesn't seem like a football genius to me. I mean when I can call what play we are going to run before snap, that's bad. Our bubble screens and PA pass on 4th and long are just dumb and I saw coming honestly.

Les did a great job pointing out the decencies across the board with this staff. From not rushing the ball right at them (outweighed them by 40 lbs on the OL), the no double moves, poor blocking, playing too far off the LOS for the DB's, no coverage on the crossing routes etc......It was like he was sad and baffled at the same time....

I think so much of that goes to an OL incapable of blocking and a QB who was staring down receivers.....And slow developing PA in 3rd and 4.......

And it's sad because most of us ordinary fans have called out a lot of that stuff Les just did. Honest question, if Les Miles was our coach would you be happy?

What is long time?  Because I can think of a few games in the last 15 years that were probably worse then this one.

Last 8 years. Only one I can think of was Iowa State 7 turnover game. I mean Northern Illinois is not that good to destroy our offense.

  9. That might be the worst offensive game I have seen in a lonnnnnnng time. I'm trying to think of players on the offense that did good and all I can think of is Wilbon, DPE, and Spielman. Other than that holy cow seemed like not many people gave two rats about what was going on. Stanley played good, but he's dropped a lot of passes. Tanner Lee is honestly lucky that they dropped so many potential INT's. Most of the poor offensive performance is probably on the O-line. Very hard to watch when we constantly had two of their guys in are backfield all game long. The blocked field goal at the end of half was game changing.

A quick screen inside the 10? The coaches consistently put the players in bad position on offense today.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this was the biggest WTF. That bubble screen you have to go deep if a corner comes up. You can't throw deep if you're inside the 10, plus it was just high risk for not really much reward honestly.

Agreed.  They were bad throws.  Hopefully he gets back on track next week and is ready for conf pkay

I'm honestly not too worried. He was very close on a lot of throws. That was the biggest game he's played in as well. We need Tre Bryant to be healthy for Tanner.

Yeah I stated earlier I forgot his arm got hit on the one and I don't think it was Farniok I think it was one of the TE's who got beat.

Very well could've been a TE. I thought that one was Farniok I do know it game from the right side. But the middle two INT's were definitely his fault just horrible throws.
