I commented that they have heating coils underneath the playing surface in Lambeau.

Also, the marching band uses Memorial Stadium to practice their routines. If that was on a grass surface, that's even more use. I don't know why you think grass is such a superior playing surface.

Actually, Lambeau is heated with lights that move on wheels. Kind of like our pivots around here, but with light not water.

  2. I mean if you watched the West Virginia vs Virginia Tech game you saw an attacking defense. Both teams got beat by some deep balls, but also had plenty of stops. Most deep balls were players just making plays. Look at Bama for example, they are never content giving up any yards.

Eh .... possible.  But I don't think that's really the case.  They threw it 68 times and ran it 21.  So there wasn't much R in their RPO.  I think it was more of a gimmick than a threat.

And why would all the LBs have to do that?  Did we need to assign all four LBs to protect against the run?  They just had the game on BTN in 60.  I only got to watch the second half but even on their last drive we had LBs doing nothing.  Not rushing the QB.  Not dropping into coverage.  Just standing there and watching.

    Odd.

Perhaps if Diaco would talk to the media they could have asked him.  Not that they would have.  But they could have.

To me it looked like the backers were doing just that. They didn't even step into passing lanes well.

  4. He says relax it's been one game. Seriously, yes I am disappointed at the way the game turned out, but you guys are ridiculous with some of your comments. How many other teams struggled in their season opener? I can count a bunch of teams off the top of my head. Baylor, Texas, Ohio State, Missouri, Washington, Louisville, USC, and much more. I'm not worried yet.

  5. Wow. Why cheer him on in his life after what he did?

Why not? He is a living human being? He made a mistake, but I hope he can get his life turned around to the positive. Everyone has probably hated on this kid his whole life, while deserving it, he still needs a chance.
  6. My son went to the Husker Wrestling Summer Camp a few weeks ago. Burroughs was there coaching. Great to see how much he remains involved with the program.

I know he turned down a head coaching job somewhere for quite a bit of money. So if that tells you anything I think he's either a) staying in wrestling for awhile longer b) taking over when Mark Manning is done.
  7. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but can understand both sides. I get the message you are sending of ignoring rape and sexual assault if you keep him, but also wouldn't you be sending a message of no second chances for those that have paid their debt to society if you remove him? He is a walk-on. He is not getting a scholarship. Is that a felony in Ohio? So many questions to ponder.

This. The fact he is a walk-on makes me perfectly okay with it. Now if he messes up in the slightest he's off the team. People want to talk about how big of a privilege that is, but walking on and wasting 5+ hours a day on football paying for college yourself? Yikes. I think it's just fine he paid his dues, this was a 16 year old kid who probably feels like crap for doing that everyday in his life. So is everyone just supposed to expect him to be garbage his whole life? This young man has life, prove us people deserve second chances young fella!

  8. Well according to Miami boards, Brian Hightower's "relative" is actively posting on them and saying Bookie is a "head case" so I guess we don't really have a shot. 😂 All seriousness though I don't think we will get Hightower, I think we got a better shot at Hall, but I'm glad we are staying on guys.

    Mostly 20-something.

    247 Composite - 23rd

    247 - 29th

    Rivals - 28th

To add, most schools who are immediately ahead of our class are up into the high teens with commits. We're at 11.

Plus our average player score is 89.77 on 247. Very nice!

Looks like 9th or 10th highest for now

We have the luxury of having both for now but it's still the off season and I'm curious. McQuitty or Brown? Who has the better Nebraska career if Brown sticks until signing day?

I'll say McQuitty and it's not a knock on Brown at all. I think McQuitty is just gonna be a big time player for us, might be one of our better WR recruits in sometime besides Tyjon.

Ahhh...well, there you have it! For those that I sent out PM's too I wish I had not even bothered!

Did you put the jinx on our team?

    Ha...no.

Heard about this today, this afternoon, but didn't get a name. Now we have the name! I can add you to the PM list for when "hear things"...

    Sold
