Also am interested in streaming things. Anyone know how Apple TV or Amazon Fire Tv is?

I have AppleTV and Playstation VUE. I watch every thing I want to between the apps and PSVUE. It is a great setup and saves me over $120/month. I also have two Roku's. I like those, but the interface is nowhere near as user friendly or intuitive as AppleTV.

Vue has a terrible interface on the Roku, but the rest of the services (e.g. Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, etc.) are good. I don't know why Vue hasn't improved their interface, but it is annoying on the Roku right now.

Agree. We have all ROKU, and I like it (especially the stick), but the VUE interface was not good. I'd like to try HULU Live this year, but it is still not available on ROKU....yet.

So is vue just terrible on the ROKU? I'm thinking about Apple TV and Rue which looks best for my sports needs and a couple other channels for around 55 bucks a month.

I have Vue on Roku for $30/month ($35 to include BTN). Does Apple TV cost money?

Huskers 44, it is only terrible on the ROKU. AppleTV is awesome. This best interface is on your PS4, but that is what I use in the basement. I love my AppleTV. The only cost is purchase which is higher than a Roku, but it is worth it with the awesome mirroring capabilities. My school stuff is all apple so I have a Mac, iPad, and iPhone I can mirror with.
Yeah I would understand that with PlayStation with vue but I'm a Xbox guy so I don't really want to buy one and have iPhone, iPad, and a mac. I guess the only other question with the Apple TV is 32 or 64 GB if I have Vue on there? Maybe 64, for movies downloaded from the iTunes Store?

I think that confirms what we've suspected -- Bray won't be here for the long haul. His star is too bright. But so it goes with position coaches, and best of luck to Bray when he does get that shot to move up the ladder.

It's good for us, too, to spread the leaves of the Nebraska tree. He might just end up coming back to us some day.

Bray might take over from Diaco depending on if Diaco is looking for another shot at HC.

Or Diaco might be okay staying saying he's getting paid 1mil a year.

I think we're monitoring Bryant. But it sounds like he has quite a bit of work to do in the classroom before he's a legit prospect. I don't think even the Dakota schools have offered yet.

Oh my gosh. If academics are holding you back from playing college ball that's ridiculous. Maybe high schools should make athletes have above a certain GPA not just above 70% something that would get them to qualify in college. Not saying he won't qualify, but it is honestly sad that that is the reason holding great athletes back from free education at great universities.

Ya. High schools do have academic standards for eligibility. OPS requires at least a 2.5 GPA and no failing status grades to participate in games. If he isn't eligible, he isn't putting in the work to get that way or has an IEP that he is working through. Most of the time, nobody is holding great athletes back except their own effort in the classroom.

My Highschool, given it was class D, you just needed to be passing all your classes. Could've had a 70 flat average and been fine. Which I think is fine if it's at the beginning of the semester, but give them a week to get it up and if they don't they are ineligible. Sorry for my rant, but the school system could change a little to force the kids a little more.

  5. Spieth with his short game alone could ride his way to many major championships. Catching Tiger or Jack will be very hard, but he's deserving to be talked about with them if he can get to 8 in my opinion.

  6. I voted optimistic.

    Qb play: improved

    Rb play: same

Wr play: down but production up

    OL: improved

    DL: improved

    LB: same

DB: same (would be improved if jones returns)

I think donte is a big improvement over Stewart. I think diaco is a big improvement over banker. Bray and diaco working with linebackers should be good. Parella I'm pretty high on. I really like our defensive staff.

I agree with everything, Diaco being DC will help us and also I expect better results from Langsdorf with his QB at the helm.

  8. No more of a long shot than NU getting him. Especially if he's going to be visiting Oregon.

Oregon QB situation is much more in favor for this kid than NU. Neither will get him but just wanted to point it out.

I agree, but this is HuskerBoard. PUTTING IN MY CB FOR NEBRASKA!!! OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Can a mod fix his name on his page?

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I had it right to start with. But then when I posted something a couple weeks ago figured I must have left out the "i" so I added it.
All good! It is a little different spelling for sure, but recruits or others close might see it so better to be safe than sorry offending someone!

  10. ☝🏼 fairly certain that's not a rule dean.

Blades said he didn't think he would fit in at Nebraska and doesn't think he'll pursue them after juco. Also believes he was somewhat tricked to believing he'd qualify here.

"Tricked" into coming here. Don't really feel bad because technically he did qualify. Sounds of it make me think even if he did qualify not just partial qualify he would've left sooner or later. Best of luck, but glad he left sooner than later.

Yikes, that recruiting class ended up being pretty bo-like

How is this class Bo-like? I understand losing Blades hurt bad, but we had two better wide receivers than Keyshawn and two better than Watts is what it sounds like. Not having a secondary player in this class sucks, but look we got Tyjon who is elite, Gebbia who I think everyone here believes his future is really bright, Roberts who looks to be a great linebacker as a true freshman, McQuitty with high upside, and Thomas who has drawn raves of playing this year. This class is definitely better than Bo's classes. Blades was the only huge loss IMO. Keyshawn will be back but he wouldn't of contributed this year.

Blades was our second-highest rated recruit. We had one WR rated better than KJJ and it was by 0.0051 - though I personally thought McQuitty was a better prospect. And Watts was the highest-rated DL we had.

#2, #6 and #8 in the class, as someone else pointed out.

Don't forget Tyjon was higher rated than Keyshawn, but he's supposed to come back. Watts I don't know much about, but sounds like Thomas and Daniels are both really good, so unless Watts is a superstar I don't think he would've made much od a difference. We still got a good class. Blades did hurt a lot.

  13. I feel like our defensive line recruiting has been underrated. Yes, we haven't gotten high rated players, but they all seem like very good pickups to me. Daniels and Thomas seem to be as good as advertised and Wildeman in 2018 class I loved his film and he's gotten praise from a lot of great players and if we get Daniel Carson I think we'd be in really great shape for the defensive line! Obviously we want a guy like Parsons, but I'm really excited about what these guys can do. What do you guys think? I always kind of thought the trenches are harder to rate players unless if they are elite. Just my opinion of course and if we can hold onto all these guys, but I think the future for the black shirts looks really bright. Time to reel in some linebackers and we are cooking with fire!

    Make that 21

How'd it go from 15-16 to 21? I know about Watts and Blades, but what am I forgetting?

It started at 15 open spots but since we can over-sign by three we could always sign 18.

Well I feel like Watts isn't that big of a deal but blades is. Hopefully we can get Griffith to make up for blades. But from the sounds of Deontre Thomas and Damion Daniels I think the NT position is in good hands.
