If you read what I wrote, I never said anything about being happy with how we are playing. I was talking about the how the fan base is reacting. It used to be about the "boys", now it seems to be about the "fans". The "boys" don't play for us, they play for each other and the team. It used to be about "hard work and determination" now its about 9 wins.

 

Will we ever be great again, I don't know. However, we keep firing coaching staffs over and over, it will NEVER happen.

Pearlman needs to be fired first. he's the guy who hired Pederson and Eichorst and then expecting Tom to fix his blunders. Problem is Tom probably wont take the job this time. Harvey Pearlman is the one to be canned...

Bo left a lot of baggage? Not sure what to think on that. Urban Meyer left a lot of baggage at Florida. Mack Brown might have left some baggage at Texas. Not sure we are that bad off as far as baggage. Some teams are left with entitlement issues and torn teams. You can say a lot about our team this year but they seem to be a team, and stick together. Lewis' statement is more of reflection of Riley than Bo. Lewis is not a program player and his actions have been tolerated by this staff which sets a tone of how the team would perceive these comments and actions. How he is still a captain is beyond me.

At least you care like me. I don't think Harvey or Peahead the AD does. Nebraska football is all we have so we care.

 

 

I'll be your OC. I'm real creative with run plays, blending power run with traditional Nebraska option and some of that newfangled read option (which is just a classic veer out of a spread formation...) and I know when to call play action passes. I'm sure I could teach these guys to pull and block, and I'd make sure to put the fan favorite RB in each week, whoever that happens to be each week. Now we just need a defensive genius and a few position coaches and we're set!!!

Should've saved the money on hiring a head coach let anybody lead this team. Sounds like leadership and coaching fundamentals r nonexistent.

If Riley doesn't do something about this Lewis kid then we know that the leadership and control of this team is not in good hands. This could be a rollercoaster of a ride.
