I would lay money down that McCaffrey has more straight line speed than Wandale, probably not as sudden as Wandale, though.... I'll be real curious to see how Luke is used during the junior and senior seasons of Martinez. I can't imagine he doesn't see some snaps at QB, and in the slot.

I'm thinking that if 2AM continues to play as he has two things will happen and neither are desireable.

I know people don’t necessarily want to hear this, but a good outing from Vedral and I think Frost and co has to give it some thought. AM is the more talented QB for sure, but sometimes the more talented guy, isn't the guy that gives you the best shot at winning. Martinez leads the conf in turnovers at this time, his passer rating is average at best and he hasn’t been a game changer in the running game. If Vedral can prove to run the offense efficiency this week, proves to be an asset in the running game, and shows he can protect the football - I hate to say it but that’s the guy who gives you the best chance of winning.

Disclaimer: this is all assuming we see the above from Vedral this week, I’m not saying I think Vedral is a better option until I see him lead the offense for a entire game.

Im all in until the other two prove me wrong.

  3. Maybe at 50, yes. But only because it's funny to watch the recruitniks and the "Bo sucked at everything" crowds skirm.

Personally, I don't view anything between 16th and 40th it so (give or take some spots each year) as significantly different in terms of potential. Land in that range, and you had a Tier 2 year.

A Tier 1 coach can take Tier 2 talent to championships.

Question, do we have Tier 1 coaching?

Your right, Riley won the Foster Chicken Bowl championship over UCLA. See the underline, yes we do. Are all fans on board, nope. Some are hangers on.

If one throws enough crap against the wall, eventually some of it will stick. Considering Solich couldn't recruit, I find it ironic that he had more players drafted into the NFL in the first three rounds on an annual basis than either Clownahan or Bobo. You guys can cling to your Scout and Rivals rankings all you want. I'll stick with the results of how those recruited pan out. I can't give a coach credit when a five star plays like a two star.

Considering most of his players were recruited by Osborne that would not be a reach. However if you check out how many Callahan players got drafted, you would be amazed. What isnt surprizing is the number of Pelini players that did not get drafted.
As has been noted, Callahan inherited more top 3 round picks than Pelini did.

Those guys Callahan inherited certainly weren't recruited by Osborne.

Name them inherited players Callahan got from Solich who were drafted, then go look at the players drafted from NU during the Bo years who were Callahan recruits

    Crickets.

    Least surprising reply ever.

I never made a top 3 round draft comparison, I was talking about the whole drafts. You obviously cherry picked the results you wanted to support your Bo Pelini fantasy and I would call your post intellectually bankrupt and intensionally misleading, but that is your way. You left out Crick, Slauson,Nicks, Potter, Bjax, Paul, Henery, Helu etc etc etc...

  5. Tanner Lee is an insurance policy against a bad performance or injury by Armstrong. He will be second on the depth chart and POB will be reshirted which he says he wants to do. He has had plenty of starts, much more than anyone on our depth chart except for Tommy. POB can now relax and learn the Riley system. It would take a miracle for him to see the field this year.

Pelini worst speaker in the history of Nebraska football. I suspect he was the lowest intelect as well.

Pelini wasn't stupid. He was prideful and Italian.

Too bad, because he was clearly capable of better.

Pelini was handed perhaps the most awkward spotlight in the history of college football when Nebraska played Penn State it its first game without Joe Paterno. There were so many ways for that to go wrong that a coach would have been tempted to say nothing. But Pelini handled the circus exceptionally well, represented Nebraska with class and even delivered a victory.

That's my highlight for the little bastard.

Im not sure what you mean prideful and italian but I will give you the PSU game. That was truely the most gentlemenly act he ever did and he deserves kudos for doing it, and Jack of course.
