Setting up a visit to Iowa now (and no not Iowa Western). Might there be something more to this "academic casualty"? We shall see:
-
I agree! Suh, Johnson, Steinkuhler, Jensen, Allen, Potter, Turner, Barfield, Townsend, and proabably Dixon will more than make for a very athletic and great DL!! The LB's will have great depth, and return players that have started multiple games. And the secondary believe it or not, will be a very stout bunch next season. As a whole, I think this D will be improved IMO. To start #13 isn't a stretch.
-
13. Nebraska 9-5
The offense returns seven starters, but the focus will be on a new starter in Lincoln. Arizona State transfer Sam Keller is expected to take the reins at quarterback from Zac Taylor, who enjoyed his finest season under Bill Callahan. Callahan's West Coast offense is taking hold, and Keller will be the beneficiary of a solid nucleus of skill players. Offensive leaders include receivers Maurice Purify and Terrence Nunn and running backs Brandon Jackson and Marlon Lucky. The losses are heaviest on defense for the Cornhuskers, where the entire front four is gone. On the bright side, All-Big 12 linebacker Bo Ruud and three-fourths of the secondary return.

How can two articles have such different quotes?
I also heard it straight from the kicking coaches mouth when interviewed on 1620 The Zone. He again said that Jordan might be a match, and that more than likely Jordan really just needs to be around his family more than anything.
-
That quote came from his kicking coach who has since stated that more than likely Congdon will NOT be the one donating his liver. He is homesick, and has some ill family. Much like Danny Muy, and Manaia Brown. Can't blame him for wanting to be close to family. One thing is for sure, he will not be back at NU. Look for him to end up at either San Diego St., or possibly a Pac-10 school when all is said and done.
-
Jordan is NOT the only donor possible. Listen, Congdon is very close to his family. The chances that it is Jordan donating the liver is actually pretty small. Jordan is just very homesick with alot of sickness in his family, and wants to be closer to home. Can't fault him for that.

Just reporting what was told to me by someone that has great inside information. That is extremely fast for someone that size. He is a three sport athlete, so who knows??
-
I work with Coach Bladt's son, Todd. He is a PE teacher at the school I work at. He says that Hoch is an unbelievable talent, and that NU really got one here! He said that Dan is now in the 4.6-4.7 40 range!!
-
If I had to guess, he will be a high 4*. But could be like Ryan Miller and get his 5th with a big year next season.
P.S., if you live near Council Bluffs, Dan will be playing basketball at Abraham Lincoln High School on Jan. 6th, at 7:30p.m. I have already seen him play both sports, and NU got a great one in the making.
About time NU got even at Iowa for Olson!!
-
4 from Council Bluffs
282!!
-
"...a Walmart employee seen the whole ordeal..."
He was writing it so that a Buff fan could understand it.
-
Split the field in half from endzone to endzone. NU will be on the upper half of the stadium (does that make sense??)
But like has already been stated, a majority of the fans will be for NU, does it matter??
-
You can go to ebay right now and buy them for anywhere from $60.00 to $150.00 per tickets. You can find packages right now for the $100-$150 range. I bought four from ebay, great seats as well. Better hurry though. While it is pretty much a done deal for the game (NU/Texas) there is still a possiblity that both teams lose their final two games and then neither one would go. So right now while the game participants have not been "decided", the tickets are still fairly cheap!
-
I swear I wonder if people ever go back and watch any games for a second time. I doubt it.
Why?? So as to confirm what we saw the first time?? A team that was totally outplayed from the second quarter on. No need to watch that crap twice! IMO.
-
Previous to 2002, NU had tied OSU 17-17 in 1971, and lost to them in Stillwater in 1961.

Solid commit to CU per scout
Soft commit to CU per rivals
Something fishy about this one??

I was able to watch Bernstine play last Friday night against a local team (Thomas Jefferson). There were several scouts there including our own Bill Busch. Bernstine was obviously a man amongst boys. He scored 3 of the teams first 4 touchdowns. He is lightning fast, and bigger than I expected. He wasn't able to showcase his play at Safety because Lincoln's D-line was so fast. Jordan did return an interception 103 yards for a TD as well, but it was called back because of a "block in the back". Where ever Bernstine ends up, they will be getting a good one!
-
The information coming out about Boss's departure from the team is disturbing to say the least!! Have fun with Prince down there Willie!!
-
Anyone know the over/under on this game - unless it is around 100, I'm betting the house on the over!
Last I hear it was 49!! So yes, bet the house on this one because it will be well over 49.
-
Of course the weather is going to cooperate, I will be at the game!!
-
I am looking for 4 tickets together for the KU game. If anyone out there can help out, send me a PM, or email me at wjhite24@yahoo.com. Would love to have tickets in hand before going the scalpers route!! Thank you very much!!

I guarantee you that just about every bar/sportsbar in Omaha will have the game available. Most do not even require a cover charge. Indigo Joe's is a favorite of mine to catch a game.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Kenny and his family while he was a Teacher/Coach and Iowa School For The Deaf. Wonderful family and Kenny was one of the funniest men that I have ever met. You could never say anything around him as he was one of the best lip readers I have ever or will ever meet. One day I told my future wife while on a picnic at Lake Manawa with the Walker's that I bet I could dunk him in the lake later when we went swimming. I didn't even think that he had seen me say this to my wife. Later on in the water, he came out of no where, grabbed me up and threw me like a rag-doll. He then came up smiling to me and said, "So, you really think that you can dunk me?" I was amazed! Have a poster of the 1990 Blackshirts in my office with a nice little note on it:" It has been great to know you. Kenny Walker". Even though my time around Kenny was only for about a year, I think of that guy about once a day!
