I'll go with the coaches on this one Aim. No doubt that Octavian has the tools to be the best defensive player on the field, but he is coming off of sugery, and right now he may be lacking the push that he needs to right the ship! I think that is what the coaches are doing here. Get him back to the level he was at Spring.

About what NU's did against La Tech. (except NU had a few more yards!!)

USC averaged 4.6 ypc on 42 carries against Arkansas. While Arkansas averaged 4.9 ypc on 27 carries against USC!!!

And to top that off, USC may very well be without two of their starters in the Secondary:

Pinkard and Thomas. Pinkard more than likely tore his ACL, and Thomas has a high ankle sprain so both of them look to be more than likely out against NU. USC will then have to start two true Freshman in their spots, which could get interesting!!

didn't really see anything wrong with what aweshucks posted. Nothing really harsh on his side!! Pretty much agreed with alot of what both posters stated. Yes, overall the first game was great, but there is still some work to be done!!!

The bottom line is I support the team and the coaches. Both of them will see plenty of time on the field. If the coaches see that Octo gets out on the field and is pulling a Farley Jr., then he will see more snaps. Same for Bo. The bottom line is both could be neck and neck.

In supporting the team, I support both players, and can't wait for Saturday!!
