Mike Riley wasn't successful in the NFL and he wasn't successful at Oregon State. He's not the guy for Nebraska.  Why would we give him another year?? 

I'd say we win 2 more games possibly 3.  Wins against Illinois, Purdue, and Northwestern.  Wow can't believe I'm writing this.  What a crappy season

Thank you, I remember the Vols playing Iowa a couple years ago, beat Iowa, like 44 to 28 and last year they rolled over Northwestern, didn't they. I have a lot of respect for Tennessee and just not much confidence in the Huskers after the Iowa game. This will be like a home game for the Vols.

I have no idea, that is why I am asking. How do you or anyone else know they were 40 yard pass plays. How do you know that Tommy did not decide to just go for the goal posts. It seems to me over the last 4 years is that is what Tommy does. Pays little attention to the under routes, the open receivers. He wants the glory of the big TD and places that in front of winning the game with shorter routes.

 

Not trying to be a smart ass, I just can not imagine that a OC who has done this for years, looks at Tommy and his past and says, yea we need to throw the deep ball a lot.

 

I know he has won some games for us doing that, but I wonder how many of those were truly called for that purpose and the purpose only. Ignoring check downs and going for the endzone. He seems to do it lot to me.

That's is exactly what I think too. Can't see Langsdorf calling all those passes, like in the OT loss at Wisconsin. Armstrong was just not a good passer but he won many games for us with his legs.

This is probably because still dealing with the whipping we received from Iowa but I don't think the players care anymore and frankly, right now, I don't either.

I'm envious of that talent no doubt. Not sure we've got anybody that could start for either team. Westy maybe

So frustrating to listen to Riley in the postgame comments. He seems to be able to identify almost immediately where the problem areas are, but totally ineffective in communicating that to the coordinators during the game. His demeanor on the sidelines bothers me, he seems disengaged. I know he is a low key, always positive guy but something is off. As far as the players, I don't think they cared at all yesterday. That was an even more embarrassing loss than at Ohio State

I wonder how many of the negative comments directed at the Nebraska football players for protesting are coming from Hawkeye fans???? I started noticing yesterday that some of my Iowa friends were writing comments on FB and Twitter. They don't care just want to divide
