  1. I've been a Husker fan for as long as I can remember and this was by and far the worst offensive football game I have seen the Huskers play. I don't think any of us are truly giving up but after last year and the whooping Saturday night and the fact that we haven't beaten a ranked team on the road since 1999 (the AFLAC question of the game). It is disheartening to say the least and as others have said, I hope we don't make it to Indy this year. Two crushing defeats on national TV in one year would destroy any hope for recruitment for several years.

We have beat ranked opponents on the road since 99. We just haven't beaten a top 10 opponent on the road

  2. Only time I have ever thought herby was deserved of hating Nebraska is when they did that tournament of the 32 greatest teams ever and he whined at the end when it was the 95 Nebraska team vs the 71 Nebraska team. Otherwise he shoots pretty straight for someone who isn't a die hard fan of Nebraska.

The main thing I am seeing here is the highest score Indiana has accumulated has been 34 against FIU. I honestly expected more out of their offense. They have a strong run game that we have been pretty solid at defending.

I think you're going by last year. Indiana is only #80 in the country in rushing this year and #85 in scoring offense. Last year they were #26 and #24. Last year we were #32 in yards per rushing attempt allowed. This year we are #102.

Isn't that inflated by the Oregon game mostly? Indiana doesn't have near the speed to stretch the defense that Oregon does. Ohio state is the only other team I think that can this year. Also, aren't Indianas running backs both more brusiers than slashers? Just honest questions

Oregon was the worst as far as yards per carry goes at 7.1 but Northwestern (6.6) and Illinois (5.9) were pretty bad as well. Really it would be more accurate to say Fresno State is dragging the average down by being a poor rushing team (poor team in general) and we got several sacks that count against their rushing yards.

Pretty surprising. I've actually thought besides a few big runs we had been doing a good job with rush defense. Guess not...

  4. I'm gonna go with Nebraska winning 34 to 27. Indiana has played Ohio state tough the last 5 years for some reason, but I think we will keep up the ground and pound and seal the game in the 4th just like we have in pretty much every game this year. Defense will do what needs to be done to win like that have all year so far.
