No argument here. If he was not attending classes most the semester the coaches deserve some of the blame. But ya know what, NG is a grown-ass man who knew what he was doing. Most of the blame goes on his head.

ALL of blame is on his head. When i was in college i didnt have a babysitter. I knew if i missed classes it was on me and would have repercussions. After you graduate high school(really before that)its time to take some responsibility. And especially by the time you get to be a senior in college you should have it figured out. I definitely wouldnt be one of his teammates sticking up for him. Id be the one throwing him under the bus. This is a big part of the problem with our team now. Nobody getting held accountable. We need some enforcers on this team.

Okay, with all the comments about the coordinators being horrible, isn't that ultimately an indictment of the HC. How is MR not accountable for everything his OC and DC does?

 

Absolutely. He needs to get rid of his old buddies and get some better coaches in here. Hes started it by getting rid of Reed, but now needs to man up and tell a couple others to kick rocks.

I agree, but when you're "hurt" in the backend and not overly talented theres not much you can do.

One thing i can say about Dzuris, not very talented but plays with a full heart.

I dont think we can fault Fyfe in this game. Kid has heart, has no blocking and hia receivers cant catch the damn ball. The kids a walk on and wanted to be a Husker his whole life.

I havent really seen anyone faulting Fyfe. The players around him are obviously not helping him.

This isn't a talent issue, we're getting out-coached. This is starting to feel a lot like the Iowa game.

Are you blind? Its obviously both. If you think we are even close to equally talented to UT i dont know what to say. And if you arent then it comes down to scheming and coaching. So we are below average at both which is why this game will get sideways.

The coaches should have stayed home and recruited. I dont care if its a dead period, we need to start doing illegal sh#t like everyone else if we are going to get ahead.

Ya, i think he will be a 3-4 inside guy for run stopping in the NFL. Will come out on passing downs and only be in sparingly against teams who pass a lot.

Sounds like ND WR coach is going to Cincy to be OC, but Calvin says doesn't effect him much or his view of ND.

I wonder if his view of ND would change on how long the HC is gonna be there. I dont think ND is real high on Kelly anymore and i dont think Kelly is real high on ND. Just dont think its a good fit for either. I could see them mutually parting ways soon.

 

Is anyone else starting to worry about JPs recruiting ability yet? Yes he's been able to bring in some big fish. Had one de-commit already and sounds like another might be on the way

He's been here less than a year and he wasn't at a big enough program before to have established relationships with our quality of players. Pass this year, no excuses here on out.

Agree Warrior 100%. You get a year to dip your toe in, but then you have to get it done after that. He needs to get some quality guys in this year, but if hes smart he should be working 2018 guys hard. Plenty of time to build a relationship with them.

Ive thought this would be great for awhile now. Interest in non playoff bowls would skyrocket i think. I wonder how many games would get lines in Vegas? Betting would be damn near impossible with all the unknowns.

Of course theres still some racism around. How long were blacks/nonwhites considered just slaves? Hundreds of years? How long have we finally decided to try and make change? 150 years. Its gonna take time to get rid of it just like any change. It sucks but its just gonna take time. Its not happening as quick as any of us would like, especially now in a world where everything is almost instant, patience is lost. Good thing is that now kids are so ingrained and "addicted" to electronics and social media that they dont have time for racism so things may start to change sooner. Of course im half kidding, but also half not. Change can spread quicker nowadays with internet/social media. So it should soon move from racism to social mediaism.
