  1. Keller comes to play every Saturday.

So does Lucky. So does Octavien. So does Grix (where the heck has HE been the last 3 years?). So does Bowman (albeit he's obviously rusty...too many penalties).

Why do other guys refuse to follow their lead?

The problem is that the list of people who don't come to play is much longer!

I can't remember hearing Turner's name once this year, I keep having to check the stat sheet to see if even played.

Mckeon's never been the same since his injury and seems to be down right scared of contact.

Ruud's two steps to slow and it makes him look like he's just standing around out there.

Asante & Green look lost and poor Suh is getting double and triple teamed to death because every one else on the D-line can be handled man on man.

Turner has been getting doubled all year . Just like Carriker last year. Please dont believe he is getting beat by himself.

  2. We need another guy on the DL and mix in some blitzes from different directions. You can't blame the DL because they are going up against 5 and 6 OL that are 300 plus. You seen the same last year with Carriker and Moore. The DE's are getting doubled , so they cant get the pressue thats needed on the Qb. Basically the secondary needs to MAN up! With no pressure, the Qb sits back and picks us apart (Ball St) or once the running back breaks the line of scrimmage it's hey day(Wake Forest).

  3. This is just my opinion but I believe our players should play with more attitude and fire. I understand our coaches control the play calling but the players control how they play! I watched LSU's D and they play with a certain tenacity. They were hype after every play. Bangin bodies and helmets like animals. I believe our players should get nastier! Being in Tennesse, I get to watch Vanden Bosch practice and play every week! Vanden Bosch is the talk of the town here. They say he plays like he has a motor that's non stop. VB is pumped every down. I am gonna put this into one of our player's ears and see what he thinks.

  4. Does he sound like some other Turner who plays for us???? What a small world but I believe they know each other. They both were recruited heavily by a lot of major schools, especially Tennessee! Patrick is really talented as well as Barry! It's gonna be a breakout year for the two.

  5. Hey guys, I think I told you all about this earlier this year. Turner will be one of the main guys that Corsgrove will be tinkering with. He is one of the most athletic and versatile players on the team. This year teams will be focusing on him because he is the key DE. I could explain more but let's just say it will be a smart move on what he is trying to do.

    really??

    That's Right Buddy!

  7. Hey guys I have a very good question. Does anyone think that Callahan and the staff allows our #1 receivers to go at our corners in practice? I mean the receivers are not All Americans but they should provide good practice for the lil guy Grixby and the others? There are a lot of excuses flying around and I don't buy any of them.

  8. Either Peters on D

Wilson Thomas on O........maybe we could try throwing the ball to a 6'5" kids with ups.....what a concept.

Wow. I grew up with Wilson and played basketball with him . I used to really get upset on how many touches he got while playing. He had all the ability just the wrong system. he would definitely fit in the WCO.

My picks would be Tommie Frazier and Carlos Polk.

  9. look, guys, it is fun to be cocky, but honestly the D as a whole has a lot to prove this season. i would be cautiously optimistic, given a lot of other teams have excellent offensive lines that will test the hell out of our guys. i will reserve judgement until at least after the 4th game of the season.

Do you buddy! As a husker, I'm going to be cocky until someone slaps us in the face. :bonez

  10. Sweet, so how do you know Barry? Did you go to school with him or something?

We go to the same church. I'm like 8 years older than he is. We are pretty close though. The funny thing is I am from Omaha and been a Husker since I was born. When Barry told me that Nebraska was looking at him , I was so happy.
  11. So that's where he gets his great vertical :bonez

Yeah! He won 3 state basketball championships here in Tennessee. He played with that guy Brandan Wright who played at North Carolina. They were very good.

  12. Whats up guys? BT came home this past weekend. The kid has beefed up! Not in fat but muscle. He is not gonna look as light as he did before. Bt is gonna step in and there will not be a drop off from last years seniors. We have always great DEs and he will be another one!

  13. Barry Turner will change your minds. A lot of people forgot what he did his freshman year on the end. He played probably more than most starters. Last year he played in different positions and formations just because he was behind to great DEs. Barry still got a lot of PT. Can you think of all the great plays he made on Offense, defense and special teams. It seems like people forget how talented this kid is. He is only going to get better and stronger.

  14. I am gonna give you guys a little more info. Turner is the guy that will be doing the dropping back in the 3-4. He is way too athletic and has enough speed to cover just about anyone. Yeah he has been out but definitely look out for him this fall. This will be his year.
