Word is Moos had to convince Frost that THIS regime had their s*** together, Scott would have told Eichorst to kick-sand. I doubt SE could have landed Moos's two quality back-up options in Fuente and Mullin either. Props to the powers-that-be on bringing Moos in.
Im still at a loss at how anyone would think Fuente would leave VT for NU. Pie in the sky stuff, IMO.
mullen wouldnt have been a good fit @ NU and his teams are inconsistent anyway.

I like Billwinkle so far, he has followed thru w phase 1 of his job: sending Riley and Fiasco packin`
Just has to complete phase 2-today most likely-hiring Frosty, and he can put himself on cruise control, disappear, whatev, dont even need to hear from him again.
BTW, Mike Leach says Moosy is THE BEST AD in the country and I respect Leach`s opinion.

That wasn't because of Parellas lineman. In this system lineman eat blocks and linebackers make plays. If you watched the football games and kept an eye on the line, you would see a well coached DL unit despite not having the athletes ideal for the system we were trying to run. Parella did a fantastic job with Mick Stolenberg in particular as well as Stille. Other guys did pretty well too but those 2 stood out
Sorry, NE was 1 of THE WORST Ds in the country, I dont care how much lipstick you put on that pig. I cant find any area of the D I would call "good", let alone "fantastic". The terms "pathetic", "brutal", come to mind. Was Freedom Akin even on the field this year? And the only tackles I saw C Davis making were 10, 15 yds down the field, gawd bless him, since the LB corps was simply atrocious.
Guess we have different tastes.
If Parella wasnt an NU guy, we wouldnt be having this conversation.

How old are you?
Did you watch the same games I did? You have to bring pressure in a 3-4 and need the athletes for that system. Do you think Parella calls the plays or calls them for the D-line only? I'm glad you can coach so well from the sofa though.
f#*k your age comment, spare me the patronising.
Parella was the DL coach, I don't care what system he has to work with-he was NFL, remember(?)-you dont finish at or near the bottom in relevant stat categories and finish the season letting 3 teams hang half a 100+ on your unit, not too mention tOSU, OR, etc. Minny had 400+ rushing yds, MINNY FRICKING SOTA, worst O in the conference!
Sorry pal, the ONLY reason why homers are cutting Patella slack is he played @ NU, period.

Parella is the DL coach. He would be a great addition to the new staff, and I like the Nebraska ties.
Oops, that's what I meant. Wasn't NE last or near last in the country in sacks, TFLs? Yeah, think so.
Well, that's my evidence re Parella., what's yours?

If Trent Bray doesn't get hired away he might also be a great carry over. Would love the four of those guys back next year.
Trent Bray, er, why? Last I checked he coaches lbs and last I checked even after that, NE`s lbs, since Riley put his mug on this show, have been THE WORST BY FAR lb corps I have ever seen in 50+ yrs of Big Reddin`! So, I`m not feelin` where all this Bray love is coming from and havent heard any solid stance as to why he should stick around. As far as I am concerned, the entire D staff should amscray and take THEIR WORST D concepts w them.
Alotta folk wanna keep Parella around too, cuz you know, "Nuhbraska guy". Oh wait, the DL was also THE WORST we`ve seen in some time. So, buh bye to Parella too as far as Im concerned.
As far as Im concerned, blow it up, clean house completely, with 1 possible exception in Keith Williams as the guy can recruit and the receivers have been 1, the only, consistent decently performing group on the whole team.

Have Frosty bring his whole gang, heck, they are undefeated and rated 12th or somerhing, must be doing something right!
Bring a buncha them fast UCF players too!

3 yrs, maybe 2.

Typical sports yapper: livin` large yappin`-zero accountability.
Good work if you can find it...
P.S., Mullen will tank @ FL, mark my words-not a good fit. Chip Kelly, however, wouldve been a ridiculous fit @ FL and I really wanted to see that happen-all that speed/talent in that offense. They shouldve made him an offer he couldnt refuse.

Also a quick note...no one in or joining our receiving corps will be short of opportunities. We are very thin at that position and there are plenty of snaps to go around.
Frosty cures ALL!

I don't know about most people, but some certainly did. Others hoped that his reputation for doing more with less would translate to success at NU. It just didn't work out.
Protesting wouldn't have worked and rightfully so.
When the protest includes associations w, uh, pedophilia/teen rape, works EVERY time...

Mike Riley is like having a friendly arsonist in your house.

Besides MR not winning games - he has done nothing to harm NU or the image. There is a chance (25%) that he stays in Lincoln and helps in some way.
If by not harming NE`s image, you mean he has dragged it completely thru the mud such that the national perception of us is one including a great deal of laughter and loss of TV revenue, not to mention having attained formerly unthinkable statistical lows, then yeah, he "helped".
NO, for the love of gawd NO, we dont need any more "help" from MR!!! The only help re MR is helping him get the F outta Dodge, pronto!

Oh man, I wanted to see Kelly go to Florida, that would have been sick, SICK!

Ans: YES! The People always have the power, if they would just use it-any Commie worth her salt knows this.
Better idea than protesting is to not go to the games but let your money do the talking. THEY listen to Money or lack thereof.

OP was referring to comments made by Keyshawn Sr. around the time Riley was fired. Keyshawn Jr. didn't appear to be on the same page as his father, his Twitter is super husker heavy. If you would read the thread in its entirety instead of making assumptions based off the OP you could have found this information yourself
I predict hes gonzo, back to Cali where its warm and he doesnt have to compete for PT w a guy named "Spielman".

Where rumors and random thoughts were given a base
To grow, thrive and perhaps die
But never to say goodbye
You are truly are a megathread

Maybe you should see what Key. Jr. is saying before judging. He has been nothing but loyal to Nebraska through all of this
Why does he want to go then? If he can't see how awesome things will be under Frost he can't be too bright.
