Pure garbage, this defense is terrible Diaco, you can deflect all you want, but your paycheck says this is your fault and your issue.

There’s no reasonable reason to expect us to stop them
Yo think the players want to play hard for a guy who talks about his players that way?

Nebraska doesn't have any heart left this season.
It is hard to have heart when you are being coached up by a cadaver.

Banker is to blame for this tackling performance.

So you think Scott Frost in year 2 would have us competing with Alabama and Ohio State? That is just ignorant. Winning the big ten west in year 2. That is believable.
LOL I bet in two years under Frost we are not losing to Purdue and northwestern. Also we won't have to witness such atrocious tackling and crappy O Line play.

If Riley stays I will kick my own ass.

A thread about firing Riley? FINALLY. This is EXACTLY what the board has been missing.
No it is not, it is about the fact that the administration is openly discussing Frost's success and how Moos is actively looking at coaches.
I guess I was wondering if anyone else was getting the impression that a decision has already been made based on all the interviews going on with Moos and Green.
-
-
After listening to the many Interviews with AD Moos, and Chancellor Green, there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that the decision has been made to let Mike Riley go. Also there seems to be a decision made as to who the administration is going after. It will either be Scott Frost or chip Kelly. If you listen to Moos's interview with Adam Carikker Moos talks about how Oregon's option style is the most lethal offense in college football and that he thinks that would be a good fit in Lincoln. Before anyone rebukes me too harsh, please have a listen to carriker. And read the interview with Chancellor Green. Mike is for sure gone.

I think judging Eichorst by the actions of his kid is a little misguided. As a parent, I try to teach my children from right and wrong, but it’s still up to them to make their own decisions. Sometimes they are going to make bad decisions.
I made a TON of bad decisions as a kid, and I was one of the “good kids”. It doesn’t mean my parents did a bad job raising me.
Do you think the parents of that guy who shot up that church in Texas are bad parents? Sometimes the kid is a bad seed, and does things that are beyond his/her parents’ control.
well I was sort of labeled a bad kid. Had girlfriends, skateboarded, you know the usual. But It never dawned on me to be a pedophile because my parents raised me right.

I agree 100 percent. However I don't think Moos is loving any of this.
If anything I bet it irritated him. Moos doesn't strike me as the kind of man who accepts excuses. From what I read and hear I think he expects discipline and professionalism from his coaches at all times. Diaco failed on both counts.
The more I see the heightened level of volatility surrounded this program the more angry and frustrated I become at Eichorst.
Eichorst is so incompetent, he literally was so arrogant that he decided to make decisions without any advice from anyone but himself.
Eichorst should never be allowed to work at another University again. I always heard you can judge a man by his kids. Well, Eichorst's 18 year old son just sexual assaulted a 12 year old boy. The lack of leadership from Eichorst transcended every facet of his life. I don't think it is fair to ignore any of this, as it seems completely relevant at showing that Eichorst has zero leadership skills. And NU is paying for it.

UCF can't pay a fraction of what Florida can. Florida can go $5-6Mil easily. UCF will have a hard time finding $2Mil...
If Frost does''t come to Nebraska I hope he goes to Florida. He will have a chance to live up to his potential there that he will never have at UCF.
I don't. Look at how poorly they treated the last two "HOT COACHES"
Muschamp was supposed to take over Texas after Mack Brown retired. Florida stole him away and he was supposed to be that years version of Frost.
And then J. MCelwaine, even Husker fans wanted him in 2014. Look at what Florida did to him.
In my opinion, Florida is way less stable than Nebraska in regards to Scott Frost. At least at Nebraska we would give him time solely because he is "one of us."

As a guy who has just been too damn busy to follow Football like I used to and getting my Husker news and info from here; it’s a circus.
I stop in here once a week or so to get the score, “what did we learn” info, and maybe stop by recruiting to see how the class is shaping up.
This is bad. I don’t even care who is to blame. If i was Reilly I’d fire Diaco tonight for public comments subversive to the team. And If i was Diaco I’d start speaking my gut about the program.
And if I’m Moos, I’m firing them all on Saturday evening. This is insane and I’m not embarrassed to be a Husker fan, but I’m ready for the adults to take over.
BOOM! this is actually a very compelling thought.
Just like Riley's lack of institutional control of his players, this lack of control transcends to his coaches as well.
It is Diaco's job to fix our defense, not blame others for the current performances.

Lol seriously? Sam did his job. Diaco attacked Banker, he deserves a chance to respond
LOL, while I agree that a person has a constitutional right to confront his accusers, this is not a court of law and all this does is reflect poorly on our football program. F Diaco. All I am saying is that this interview implies that hey if you coach at Nebraska, we will call the previous staff and have them undermine your prowess as a coach. Very childish from Diaco, to Banker, to Sam Mckewon.
-
Oh and classy move by Sam Mckewon to call Banker for an interview.... Way to throw gasoline on an already extremely volatile situation. I just don;t understand why this was necessary to interview Banker, all it does is make Riley's job more tumultuous than it already is. Which reflects poorly on our football program.

Riley, what a mess that you have contributed to. This is the definition of gross incompetence. Blaming the previous D coordination for your mess. There is a term art in the law that goes you take your victim as you find them. I respected Banker a hell of a lot more than Douchaco.

Mario Goodrich said this, and what do you expect the coaches to tell the kid?
-
I think after all the crap we have been through we deserve our turn to get back into relevancy. I pray that our AD and boosters refuse to take No as an answer.
-
I want everyone here to reflect on just how much they love Nebraska football.
Reflect on how sad it is to see the current state of the program and the last fifteen years.
Reflect on everything this place stood for, and the dynasties that were built.
Now think how much this would all mean to you as someone like Frost who played for this school, bleed for this school, took beatings for this school, and won for this school.
You tell me that this man has more allegiance to Florida, I tell you that you are wrong.
I bet Scott wants Nebraska to get this right more than anyone. All I have to say is F*ck Florida. You A-holes had Tebow, and Meyer. You just won a conference championship five years ago. It is our turn to get things turned around.

I don't know about that. What is this staff suppose to do? they suck, it is not their fault they are trash.

I just want to wake up this month twice to two things.
1) Mike Riley will not return next season &
2) S. Frost accepts offer to HC at Nebraska.
