  1. Gates is such a wussy. The dude is in horrible shape, and plays with a horrible attitude. Gates is the perfect example, as is Lamar Jackson, of Mike Riley's lack of authority of his program. These two should not even be on the three deep with the effort they put forth.

At this point I like Callahan way more than Riley.  (I think). Both sucked, but I think Callahan was the better recruiter.  I also have to think Riley was hired solely because his personality was the polar opposite of Pelini.

Callahan's teams could score points too. It was his D that got him canned.

Hes got to pull the trigger. Riley is creating apathy by the minute. His lack of give a damn and complete loss of answers is spreading thru the team like a cancer.

I agree, let him finish the season, but let it be known that Riley is not coming back.... This is getting bad. I was watching Nick Gates in the locker room during the prayer, no fire, kid plays the same way. It is time to send a message to Frost.

  4. I was at the Miami Nebraska game in 2015. The Miami fans were talking all game long about how much they disliked Al Golden. There was an airplane flying over the stadium flying a fire Al Golden banner. It was a very heartbreaking OT loss to Miami. But what stood out to me was how Miami was beating us real bad all game long but the Canes faltered and let us back in the game. All the Miami fans attributed the comeback to Golden;s incompetent coaching.

Watching Miami tonight, and this year, that program has been resurrected. The Canes hired a proven winner, and an alum. If they can do it so can Nebraska.

Never forget, we are Nebraska! no one can take away who we are and where we have been. And believe it or not no one can stop where we are going. I believe that our Resurrection is coming. Frost loves Nebraska football just as much as you or I. Have faith, keep your heads up. This train wreck is about to be a distant memory.

  5. One week Diaco says our safety, Josh Kalu, is going to be the best safety in America. Than he says we are going to be the best defense in the country a few weeks back.

How about you just coach dude. LOL I am sure these players like hearing how you didn't expect them to play good....

  6. I learned that there is fight in some members of this team. Unfortunately the coaches do not put the players in the best position to win.

Honestly I was not mad about the loss because I know Riley is gone now.

I also learned that I am sure glad Eichorst was fired before this sex assault that occurred at his house. Boy would that have been embarrassing for the university.

  7. I have a buddy who played for Campbell at Toledo. He said Campbell was a total weirdo. Like Campbell would text or call his players at 5 am to make sure they were gong to work out. I guess a total control freak.  But I think that sounds better than a coach who lets his players do whatever the hell they want cough cough Riley

When he was hired he said “Riley is my coach and I support him”

    Hes following through with that.

As long as Riley is coach, I support him too.

I’ll be at the game and rooting for a big win.

As long as Riley is our coach I will continue to have zero faith and want to break shi* every time his teams do dumb crap.

Bookie didn't decommit because of W-L's, or the product on the field. Bookie brought his whole family with him to the Wisconsin game. You think that is a kid who was worried?

Bookie committed to Nebraska in large part because he completely bought into the future of Mike Riley and Donte Williams. He knew where things were, but to him he thought things would change. But even as a 17 year old, he could actually see the big picture. Success isn't made overnight. And to change a culture, and a program, doesn't happen overnight.

Point blank -- if Riley and Donte were gonna be here, Bookie was gonna be here.

But now we have an administration who had a knee jerk reaction to the NIU loss. From that point on, the negative recruiting has been relentless. The coaches? Nothing they can do answers the recruits questions.

I mean, how do you explain to kids that we have a fan base that was more supportive of a guy who told them to "EFF OFF" than a guy in Riley who is universally loved and respected by players and recruits?

The next coach? Good luck salvaging a class in about 3 months that very likely will end up with about 4-5 solid commits once everyone else opens things up. That should surely help with the depth concerns. Should be fun few years for him until the knee jerk reactions happen, again.

Geeez man please  just read your post out loud to yourself. A knee jerk reaction? Have you been watching this season at all? we rushed for under a 100 yards against Purdue, 8 yards in the first half. We got taken out to the woodshed by Ohio State, twice in two years. We lost to mighty NIU at home, we had Oregon put over 700 yards on us. We had an AD hire a career .500 coach, who in year 3 still hasn't figured it out. Nebraska deserves better than this clown. A recruit is a recruit, a dime a dozen but a coach who can get the best out of his players is special. Look at Matt Cambell and Scott Frost. Mike Riley has never accomplished what these young coaches have done and he has been doing this for over 40 years.
