Oh my gosh you guys, the stories that are coming out of that meeting with the 200 Nebraska Lettermen who came to welcome Scott Frost home are just so moving!  If you subscribe to the OWH check out the morning edition.  There was one letterman who was 85!  One was 79.  How a player gave up his scholarship to another player because the other kid needed it more than he did!  I loved it that Tommy Fraizer said he would pay big bucks (or something to that effect!) to play for Scott for a year!  That these guys came to support one of their own is just incredible!  I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that moment!

  2. From football scoop...

Nebraska: Lars Anderson of Bleacher Report notes tonight his source tells him Scott Frost to Nebraska is a done deal. Anderson holds himself out as having deep connections to Nebraska. For what it is worth, sources tell FootballScoop Florida officials feel very confident in their ability to secure Frost as their next head coach. All of this comes after many, many coaches told FootballScoop Chip Kelly plans to choose UCLA over Florida.

He's coached there, successful there, probably get a good money offer, Nike money to help where needed. If Oregon loses a head coach they will be desperate to get back to their winning ways and Chip Kelly will be in ucla.

Frost said last year he wouldn’t go to Oregon even if Knight offered him 8 million.

  4. Listening to Joel Makovicka on Hail Varsity Radio, here were his paraphrased thoughts on Scott Frost.

"I don't think he would want to stay at a place where he couldn't fill the stadium every Saturday."

"He's confident and he's got some swag about him. I think what people need to understand about Scott is the way he is on the sidelines, with the players and with the media, there's more that he takes from Coach Osborne than many people think. He patterns his style after Coach Osborne more than any other coach. I think he can handle the fishbowl."

"I think at this point, it's just like anything, whenever you're on a football team and have 180 guys like we had in the 90's. Does everyone on the team hang out with each other and become best friends? No. That's just the reality of team sports and you put that aside and win championships. You play for each other and you play for the state. There might be some former players with some of the things that happened in the past that would say hey I would rather not have Scott here but they see the condition of the program and we are all former players that want to see this program get back to its rightful position. I think some of the guys who are skeptical would get on board because they know that's what's best for Nebraska and getting us back to where we want to be. We gotta get back to being in that conversation."
