Paul Sather will be a coach to look out for. Started at Black Hills State moved on to Northern and in his first year at UND.
He was actually a high school coach in Sidney, Neb., before that, and then a long time assistant to Don Meyer at Northern St.

His 32% from 3 and 39% from 2FG will fit in perfectly with GBR. (2018-19 stats)

6 DI freshmen and 5 DII freshmen in the country averaged 16.5 ppg or more, he was one of them this season at UNK. Announced he's transferring to U of South Dakota.

Actually the transfer portal does not preclude kids from returning to their current team. He could test the waters and see where he might be able to transfer to and know by the time a new coach is named if he wants to stay.

Joe Krabbenhoft at Wisconsin could be someone to keep an eye on. He's a Sioux Falls native, family still lives there. He played for the Badgers, tough blue collar player, played overseas.

Doc just had one of his best seasons and finished 2nd in CUSA (19-13).

Colgate and Iona are in the NCAA tournament and San Diego and Sam Houston St. were in the NIT. His high school coach (Beranek) transferred from UNK to Nebraska and started for Doc Sadler, but taking visits doesn't seem he is going that route.

Miles has had too many
The best recruiting class was 2015, and the only guys that finished at N were Watson and McVeigh. The classes since then have ranked 10, 12, 14 in the conference. If you can't keep the guys you invest the most time and money recruiting, going to be a tough road.

Hoiberg's top recruiter at Iowa St was TJ Otzelberger who is now the head coach at Mike Daum's South Dakota St. Were some that were not excited about TJ at SDSU due to the type of players ISU was bringing in. Any thoughts on who he'd bring in as assistants?

The crickets from Coach Frost throughout the season on social media is in stark contrast to the interaction he had with the VB program during their run.

Didn’t we essentially take away Aguek Arops scholly offer to sign Nana? Was that a mistake?
Would Arop have developed into the perimeter player he would have to be at N? He was 3/15 from three this year for SDSU.

Or when college coaches are not good at evaluating talent.
In his defense, "As a sophomore, he was an integral part of the Bulldogs' rotation through the first 16 games this season with nine starts. He played anywhere from 13 to 33 minutes." He had an injury and then found himself on the outside looking in.
He had 14 offers from the likes of Oregon St., Colorado, St. Louis, etc.
Was he not as good as he thought ... or was he not as good as a bunch of high paid college coaches thought?
