Please stop talking
That's what fans and supporter do. The program exists because of us, and we have opinions. The program thrives because we have an vested emotional connection to it.

I agree that he has lost his confidence; and my intention isn't to bag on AM. I want him to succeed.
The solution to a quarterback that has lost his confidence is not to keep throwing him back into the fire. He needs some time to reset and recalibrate. Perhaps he should be given the next game off. The team also could use a fresh look with a new quarterback.

Found this ugly stat in Dirk's column on the game
Since joining the Big Ten, the Huskers have now lost 10 games by 30 points or more. Ten! By comparison, it’s happened to Northwestern four times. Minnesota three times. Iowa has lost by 30 once.
Sounds like 1995, in reverse.

AD Moos is one smart cookie. The timing of the football facilities upgrade announcement was not picked out of a hat. When he said “We need to get to 6 wins” he wasn’t lying. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/big-ten-media-days-moos-on-nu-football-team-we/article_86841a68-1156-5fba-a38f-602711fb27b9.html
He also understands that underpromising with the possibility of overdelivering is a sound strategy for job security.
Now that we have a true measurement of this team, this is the reality: To be bowl-eligible
Nebraska needs to go 2-2 in the next 4 games
Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue & Indiana and then beat Maryland. Two of those are road games and the SF Huskers only won their first of those at Illinois. Winning the West is a pipe dream with our Less-Than-Special-Teams and exceedingly offensive Offensive line play.
Frost needs to eliminate single points of failure (like Pickering) and focus on getting and developing linemen before this program takes the next step.
In trying to remain positive, this is about the same thing I have been telling myself.

Sorry you’re butthurt over the loss, but instead of crapping on the current program all over the board, maybe try dealing in reality for a change.
I realize that your extremely bitter over the loss, but lashing out at other fans is not becoming of Husker Nation.

Agreed. We should be favored in all of these games, and the coaches should be able to get us to a minimum of six wins through this stretch.
As a fan, sadly I still think in terms of where we were in the 90s as where we should be.
Reality hit hard last night, it ain't happening again.

Do you watch practice? Yes we stick with Martinez. If he wasn't our best QB he wouldn't be playing
No, just the games.
We need a QB who performs well in games, not practice.

After falling behind 14-0, Nebraska changed it's offensive playcalling and marched deep into Ohio State's territory. It honestly felt like they were going to score and make it 14-7 when Martinez slightly sailed a pass over Wandale's hand, which deflected it into an Ohio State player that was on the ground.
Would 14-7 be a lot different than a backbreaking turnover? Absolutely. Psychologically deflating for a still fragile team playing against the #5 and arguably better than that team in the nation.
Cudda, wudda, shudda... We were down 48-0 at one point, then Ohio State showed us pity.

There is a chance of injury in practice, in the first game next week, in any of the next 7 games for OSU. I would never play them in the 4th up 5 tds. But you were bitching in the first half for them to bench the 1st stringers
They practice against better athletes.

I don't care what anyone says. You leave your first string in with a 41 point lead your a tool....plain and simple
Maybe you should call tOSU and beg them to show some mercy.

This coconut flavored rum that I'm drinking is pretty damn good... the score does not bother me that much.

Quit trying to compare Ohio State's trajectory to ours then--it's not realistic.
How about Rutgers?

LMAO... "That [FG] was a huge win for the Nebraska defense."

Day is as much of a tool as Urban. Leaving first string in.
It is our job to stop them, it is not their job to show pity.

It's not to late to stay in the locker room after halftime is over.

Ohio State has as much talent as any team in the country. Nebraska isn't quiting. Could they play better? Yes. But Nebraska doesn't recruit at a level where they can hang with elite teams.
From my chair, the better parts of both the offense and defense have quit.

How better is this performance from the Riley teams?
Scott Frost talks a better game.

The defense has completely given up.
The whole team should show what they are made of, and stay in the locker room after the half is over.
