Aside from a couple of tweaks here and there, what's so different or special about this uniform compared to what the Blackshirts wear in practice everyday?

The injury was a total freak accident. I don't think anything could have been done to avoid the injury. His rehab might have been helped with the current strength staff, but that's pure speculation on my part. Different guys will heal and rehab differently.
I definitely think this current staff wouldn't have done any worse with his rehab. But I agree with you that I don't see how something like what happened to him was preventable.

He wouldn't have the injury issue with the current strength staff IMO
Wasn't that just a freak accident?

I think I would have liked to see the combo of Greg McMullen, Vincent Valentine, and Maliek Collins in this 3-4. That's more than 1 player but I think you have to have all 3 in this case.

It will be interesting to see if the "drama" of getting him on the team pays off. I wonder what the success rate is of something like this.
I know Maurice Washington paid off last year. Trying to remember any other players and how they fared.

If they can pull the Season 1 story with a modern reboot of their origin story and have the main 'villian' be Namor, could help plant the seeds for 'Secret Wars' and tie in the X-Men. Hint at Doctor Doom in the credits and I think they'll have a great movie on their hands.
Wasn't Namor just named the villain for Black Panther 2?

I'm currently watching The Last Czars on Netflix. It's about the Romanovs of Russia. It's 3/4 acting and 1/4 documentary. It's an interesting way of telling the story. I Also started watching Fleabag on Prime. It's quite funny.

I would think burning a redshirt without it serving a greater purpose of winning games seems like a bad idea. If it's not meaningful snaps, let them play in 4 games and then shut it down unless there is injury.

I think Martell will transfer. Why not?

I’m defining the parameters involved in the aforementioned 6-6 record. A .500 record has certain characteristics, one of which is production and scoring differentials approach equality.
If you’ve read my posts over the years, you’d know I don’t measure teams by wins.
I'm new here. I've stopped in every once in a while but not with regularity.

6-6 is not successful no matter how you slice it with the schedule we have, the coaching staff we have, and the players we have returning.
If success is measured simply by the record, Bo Pelini should still be coaching at NU. There is more to it especially after back to back 4-8 seasons. Just one hogs opinion

The problem isn’t patience or lack thereof, it’s the math.
This has nothing to do with patience or math. It's about taking a different approach to measuring success after the last coach nuked our program.

I can see that sort of scenario for a lot of teams, but not Nebraska. If the offense is as explosive as it should be, even if you account for bad luck then the defense has to be nearly equally as bad as the offense is good to approach a .500 record.
The primary thing that that needs to happen to consider the season a success is significant defensive improvement. Without that, it’s hard to say the team is making strides to its ultimate goal...winning championships.
I get that Nebraska is different. But if the last coaching staff and athletic administration ruined the team and culture as much as we believe, then I think we need to measure success a little differently than we have in the past. Small steps.

Success needs to be measured not only in wins, but competitiveness, lack of melt downs, and meaningful contributions from more players that were recruited for the purpose of the turnaround.
I think you can have a successful season at 6-6 if you've balled out but the game just didn't go your way and the younger players played well.

I think of Iowa as a rival. I dislike the team, state, most of the people I meet from there, and the fact they have beaten us too often.
