I am beginning to think that the only way we move forward is to let the sellout streak die...are we not actually lying to ourselves each game?
I have seen games lacking butts in seats and yet it is declared a sellout by ticket purchase.
Let's get our 3 Hail Mary's and 4 Our fathers over with and move forward with a clean conscience
We, apparently, sold our souls for the 90's...so let's cleanse ourselves and move forward
A more interesting but related topic was brought up by 1620. How long would it take to sell out the stadium after the sellout streak ended? And how long before the Huskers started a new sellout streak?
The presumption being that there is a sizable minority that goes to the games out of a sense of duty to maintain the streak. Would they fade away if the streak were to stop?
When do we get to the point that the state is apathetic toward Husker football? I know I worry about the kids in school today. They maybe know about Suh? We’re not Minnesota or Illinois yet. Still probably another 20 years of suck away from that happening....but we need to get things turned around within the next 5 years IMO.
Scott probably wishes he stayed in Orlando. Right now I wish he had, just for his sake. He should be enjoying becoming a dad. Instead he’s got the pressure of the entire state weighing on his shoulders. Just sucks all around.

My concern is that he's ruuning a pac 12 offense and a pac 12 defense in a conference that is the total opposite
You’d be surprised to learn that the PAC 12 Has a winning record against the Big Ten over the last 20 years. 68-55 PAC 12. Every Big Ten team except Wisconsin and Ohio has a losing record against the PAC 12 during that time span. In fact, the Big Ten falls to 32-60 against the PAC 12 if you remove Wisky & Bucky.
I’ve said for awhile now that I feel the Big Ten is deadweight weighing down the program. The level of football in the Big Ten is below that of the Big 12. The numbers bear this out. The Big Ten is the 2nd weakest power football conference behind only the ACC.
Last 20 years:
Big 10
ACC
45-33
Big 12
38-46
PAC 12
55-68
SEC
35-48
Sorry to hijack your comment, but I felt like ranting. I think you mean the team needs to play with more ‘toughness’ and that a power running scheme helps accomplish that goal. I tend to agree with that sentiment...problem is we have O-lineman who should be playing at the FCS level.

All TRUE fans know who Steve P. He is the root cause of all our problems.
Steve is the opposite of Dr. Tom. What Bob, Tom and Frank built, Steve tore down.
This is a lie. Please redirect your hate toward Harvey Perlman.

We were talking about this last night. It started under Pelini and continues to infect the program. When the team gets punched in the mouth by a good team they fold. I don’t understand it and I don’t know how you fix it.
I’ve played team sports my whole life. I cannot fathom why a team would quit. It’s ultimately a children’s game, it’s fun. So what if you’re not as fast or strong as the guy across from you. It’s a challenge, it’s fun to measure up. Makes it that much more enjoyable when you succeed.
I understand individuals quitting. It’s not fun for whatever reason and they’d rather be doing something else. That’s an easy fix for a coach. Just sub in the next guy on the bench. But when the whole team quits? Yikes! I’ve never been a part of a whole team quitting. I don’t think Frost and his staff have either.
The quitting phenomenon is a contagion. I thought Frost was wise to cull the herd so to speak and flip the roster. Get rid of the guys who had quit in the past so they wouldn’t infect the new guys.
Last night sowed a lot of doubt in me because it was the first time I saw the new guys Scott brought in quit. I thought he had gotten rid of the quitters after last year’s start. The play on the field seemed to have indicated that. Now I don’t know what to think.
(Maybe he literally needed to get rid of everyone?)

With a 7pm kick, the parking lots are the place to be tomorrow. Will be lots of husker fans tailgating. I’ll be over in lot 46 with a keg. Stop by and have a beer.

Pains me to say it, but I think we lose to Indiana. :/
Boe Wilson is not a div 1 lineman. Hixson is a depth guy in his junior/senior year being forced to start as a sophomore. Jurgens consistently misses assignments and the film is out on Farniok ‘the lunger’. We don’t have the O lineman to allow our offense to be successful. Indiana has the guys up front to exploit us.
I think we maybe beat Maryland. That’s it. :/
