  1. We are heading up Thursday! Should be a great time!! It is my first regular season away game!!!! Can't wait!

I just posted a link about an extra ticket we have so if anyone is looking for a single ticket let us know. We have 4 tickets together and then got this extra ticket in a different section for someone else, and now they can't go...it is in section 101 Row 1. Email my us at jeremygreer87@gmail.com to make an offer if interested!

  2. T-Magic going to WR would be a stretch... I heard that the guy is a real A-hole and no one on the team likes him.

Sixth grade lunch table with the ladies.

Excellent point!!! I agree that we need to let the guys play football! I know that the "celebrity status" in Nebraska makes it hard for this to happen, but seriously let's support our team and players!

  3. Great board you guys are running here. Let me first say I come in peace. Although things between our two schools have been heated over the last year, I've always rooted for Nebraska when they weren't playing Texas and I really don't see that changing any time soon. You've got a classy program with classy fans.

I've lurked on here for a while but since football season is upon us I thought I'd register and hopefully partake in some good discussions leading up to our game in October. The last trip I made to Lincoln was in 2006 and it was one of the best road trips and game day experiences I've had as a college football fan. Nebraska fans lived up to the hype and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back next month.

That said, I think some policies may have changed at NU since 2006 with regards to RV parking. In '06 we came in and parked in a lot just off campus next to a large field (I know, very vague) on the Friday morning before the game and paid $50 or so to stay there through Sunday. I called NU and they said the only parking available was at the Midway on Innovation Campus but they wouldn't open the lot until Saturday morning.

Could one of you point me in the right direction for finding a location? We should be arriving around lunch time on Friday.

I'll save the game day talk and breakdowns until we each have at least a game under our belts but hope to have some good discussions. I think that we can at least all agree that it's a good thing that football season is back!

One last thing... I had some really good discussions four years ago on another NU message board and they were very helpful (invited my friends and I to tailgates, gave us restaurant suggestions, etc). I'm hoping this board will do the same, but are there some other NU Message Boards out there besides Rivals?

Good luck against Western Kentucky and I look forward to NU being undefeated when we come into town in October.

Welcome to the board!!! Sorry, I cannot give you any info on where to park though!!! I hope that someone on here is able to help you out!! GO BIG RED!

  4. I'm looking at buying tickets in row c. Does anyone know what the view of the field is like this low or would I be better off buying seats a little higher up?

We have season tickets in Row A 20 yard line and I love them!! You are pretty close but I actually love that part....some people like to be up higher for the Bird's eye view, but you can get that by watching the play on the screens if you want...i like being so close to the field! Thats my two cents!!! Good luck!

  5. You can find them online for $180-900 a ticket! I would think that the day of the game you could get tickets somewhere in Lincoln....but they will be $$$$, unless you wait until right before game time and then...who knows if you will be able to find any. But I think that just being in Lincoln that day will be awesome too! They usually broadcast the game on the big screen at the Husker Nation Pavillion next to the stadium if you can't get tickets. It is not the same thing I know...but it would be free!

  6. On a follow-up, I just read on a Big Ten board that there is some sort of movement in the works of expanding. Have you guys heard about this? Are there any ideas about how big they would like to go?

*Edit: How big of a deal is Memorial stadium to Nebraska, what I mean is if the University decided to build a new one b/c it found it be impossible to expand that large, would the state be in an uproar? For instance this is not an option at tOSU, not only would it be political suicide for whoever brought the idea up the historical society wouldn't allow it, wonder if that is the same over there?

*Edit #2: I just noticed (looking at pics of the stadium) that the eastern facade of Memorial looks eerily similar to the rotunda at the Horseshoe

*Edit #3: Good lord nothing like being prepared on my part and having to edit three times...just did some reading and found out it was originally modeled after Ohio Stadium when it was built, that would explain the similarity.

So I was looking at these pictures to compare the stadiums and I noticed the strangest thing...my husband is in the picture of Memorial Stadium...he is the one with the Red Jacket and khakis on! That was just strange! What a small world!

  7. If you don't get an answer, go to netbuffs.com and ask some of the posters there.

Thanks! I posted there too..I will keep checking!

CUBuffs.com is their web address. Good luck.

Yeah, visiting Netbuffs may actually make you not want to go to a CU game.

I actually had a not so pleasant experience on a CU message board a few years ago, so I was a bit hesitant to post. I went over there as an obvious Husker Fan and was ripped a part! This time I was a bit more neutral!! I have decided that I would like to see a game in Boulder some time...just to say I did...but I will start with stadium in the summer without all the craziness!!! We will be all decked out in Husker Gear so it should be an adventure. Everyone else, except KState has been great....

  8. Hey anyone that lives in or is familiar with CU...We started a Big 12 Tour last summer with our kids and are on a quest to visit all of the Big 12 football stadiums. This summer we are heading to Colorado and would like to visit Folsom field. Does anyone know if you can take a tour of the stadium and acutally see the field? We went to OU, OSU, KU, KSU last summer and were able to see each...just wondering if it is easy to do at CU!! Thanks all....mods...feel free to move if needed!
