How is camo at all an appropriate way to remember 9/11? Pretty f#&%ed up if you think about it.

It’s pure f*cking trash honestly. It’s not even the pattern used by the military at the time and the grey on white or whatever you want to call it looks like you’re trying to sneak up on a f*cking yeti.
The convolution regarding the “throwback” logo and font completely detracts from whatever tribute they’re allegedly attempt to pay.

this entire thing embodies the entire unfocused and comical (not to me but nationally) state of this program.

I can't remember which of these threads it was in but someone on Twitter looked at the actual numbers and adding OU and Texas barely puts the SEC over the B1G in tv revenue. I think people are overestimating the SEC or underestimating the B1G. It would not take too much of a revenue bump from a merger to put us back at #1. UT got a network deal because ESPN f#&%ed up plain and simple. They are hemorrhaging money on that deal big time. There is a reason they are trying everything they can to dump it.

    this is so accurate.

espn/Disney are doing all kinds of stuff (owe big 12 money-kill big 12) and fox is behind the “merger” talks. But the big ten hangs with the sec after the addition of ut/ou.

Do we even know where that photo was supposedly shot? Also notice the shamrock in the window, which would suggest that this was shot around St. Patrick's day. Still smells like BS to me.

Edit: Ahh, I missed this tweet, which is where the pic supposedly came from.

All kidding aside wtf is going on?

An off campus throwback (OU logo with an N?) patriotic/sept 11/armed forces themed single use football jersey “reveal party” being thrown at a church?

I’m not a rocket surgeon but I’m not following this at all.

  5. I believe the more relevant question is what does growth of the SEC mean for recruiting in regard to a recruit’s NIL?

people talk about tv exposure and blah blah… eff that.

A recruit doesn’t need tv to make money, they have social media. An SEC recruit probably has higher endorsement value than that of a recruit in the big ten.
that’s why Texas and OU are making their moves. The potential market value of the big twelve is trash. the SEC is $$$ city to recruits/players. Bottom barrel rape scandal Baylor “fans” (yes f*ck Baylor) aren’t payin like even zero dollar having ole miss fans.

this begs me to as the question- what is Nebraska’s market value to high profile recruits and why would they focus Nebraska?

  6. Omar Manning locked in…

im not even going to waste my time in comparing this to statements made last year but I have a feeling they were similar.
I don’t mind coaches and their minimalist bullsh*t but honestly does anyone know why a persons expectations of this player should be any different than last year? Lots of rumor and speculation but any facts?

also enjoyed trev’s comments and realistic views.

We will not be getting a superstar player as it sits. Pastore I could see being a 84/85.

I think the dude is better that that. Ive been optimistic about Nebraska oline recruits before. I don’t want to name them because it takes away from my enthusiasm.

id really like to see this guy sign for Nebraska and stick it through.
I’d actually say that this guy is most important recruit in the class. He’s a good prospect at his position and Nebraska needs him.

Your only valid point is the misses on the local players... at least its for positions were pretty well set in for the foreseeable future.

You also seem to have a very narrow minded view on the state of this recruiting class.  We're an insanely young team and we simply dont have the scholarship room we do in a typical year given the extra year given with covid coupled with how young this team is from a freshman-soph standpoint.  This might change depending on what the ncaa decides on scholly limits during this weird period but hasnt yet

Realistically speaking, its probably impossible for us to finish in the top 30 this year if its to be as small as a class as its looking like.

sure, a few more wins for frosty prolly would equate to a couple extra recruits but there are way more variables at play influencing the state of recruiting beyond a few misses locally and few current signees.

I’m well aware of the current roster as well as the disbursement regarding class.
247 has Nebraska’s class as being ranked 57th in the country with seven recruits with unimpressive offer lists and fairly lackluster displays of talent.
I’ve heard the class size argument many times and I still believe this years recruitment has been extraordinarily dismal.

I agree.  It can be frustrating as a Husker fan.  But, you have to dig deeper in the various situations to realize what is really going on....and it's not all about "Husker coaches suck".

People tend to be extremely short sighted when it comes to recruiting in general. I do believe this year’s local talent level has greatly exceeded that of the recent passed few years. The on field product and lack of presence in the nfl is very difficult to overlook and these players received a great deal of attention from prominent national programs.

perhaps if the local players were a little worse this year they would have ended up at Nebraska…
