Of course we do. The West is terrible. Michigan is the only game left that isn’t happening. The rest are coin flips, IMO.

I do wish he would have hung around. But if the attitude ain’t there, I suppose it’s best for both.

We’re supposed to be developing a “next man up” program. If this season is about building for the next few years, this will be tough, but it ain’t a bad thing. Mr. Johnson, Mr. Ives, let’s see what ya got. We’ll be better next year for it.

Get those freshmen some BIG experience! If this team of newcomers, freshman, and misfits Can somehow make it to a bowl game this year, that bodes very well for our future and the character of this team.

Keep HH and QB and put Sims back there?
That would create some pretty interesting matchups. Bonner in at RB as well. Looks like we are about to get creative for the rest of the season. My glass half full self is going to consider this a wonderful opportunity for this team to deal with some adversity and find ways to overcome it.

2. Emmett Johnson

I guess we’ll see what Emmett Johnson can do with Grant.

But this is the first time in a few years where the weak opponent didn't leave Lincoln with a W or lose in a nail biter. That credit goes to coaching
Exactly. I’m really sad for a lot of the people being overly pessimistic. I wonder where they will find joy in life if they can’t at least enjoy the 24 hours after a beat down at home. We did what we should’ve done with a quarterback making his first start. He managed the game well.
The team we beat last night beat Boston College, which almost beat Florida state, were it not for their own mental mistakes. Alabama has more talent than most people in the world and is struggling mightily. Upsets and close calls all over college football. Just enjoy the progress and the process.

HH, Ervin and Grant all ran with an attitude.
The defense is still nails until proven otherwise. I have no clue where our offense will be, but I am excited to see the defense play against Michigan at memorial stadium.
HH to Fidone seems like something we’re going to see a lot of for a while.
Matt Rhule needs to get help for the licking.

With all the (very reasonable) negativity the past few weeks all over the board, I thought it might be nice to pull some sunshine from my a$$. Join me? And please try and focus on the positive? :)
1. Our quarterback’s mistakes aside, when that game today was tied 0-0 late in the second quarter, I was pretty happy for a little bit. I don’t think anyone expected that.
2. Our defense can be nails if we can start killing clock and quit making stupid mistakes on offense. Cam Lenhardt can be a stud. Van Poppel showed up today. If Tony White hangs around, I’m excited for that side of the ball.
3. Our next two games SHOULD be very winnable and allow us to regain our composure. Play some young guys, play some new guys on offense, and get back on track.
4. The Big Ten West still sucks I won’t lose hope for a bowl game until we are mathematically eliminated, as usual.
5. Watching the SEC get their butts kicked the past two weeks by the ACC and Big 12 has been a pleasure…and seeing Alabama get their butts stomped at home and their fans empty out before the game is over was a great way to end my football watching night.

Definitely not rooting for a player to be hurt, but if that’s what it takes to have Rhule keep Sims out…hello, high ankle sprain. It’s nice to meet you.

If our offense can sustain some drives and not turn it over, this defense will keep us in almost every game this year.

250 rushing yards and the associated TOP combined with zero turnovers and it’s a win. One turnover, it’s a toss up. Any more turnovers and we’re blown out of the water.

I get y’all are traumatized by the last decade, but holy moly. Better (I didn’t say good, yet) things coming. Too much new and on the road. It will settle down.

Minnesota is doing what Frost did for his tenure at NU. Getting a bunch of yards, but not scoring points
They’re not even getting that many yards. Only 128 so far.
