I'm excited about the rest of the season.  But, admittedly, I am nervous about this game.  Northwestern seems to always play us tough and, this is going to be a test to see if this team can mentally keep the momentum going.....or, do they fall back into their old ways of becoming complacent and letting a team like this beat them.

I agree, Rhule seems to be the coach that is doing all the right things to keep them focused.  Hopefully, this team has tasted a little bit of success and uses that to motivate them to finish the season strong.

This is a game that has the potential to show the culture is changing within the team.

  2. What I’ve been saying for weeks was reinforced. That we go 5-1 down the stretch and get 8 regular season wins..

The Big 10 has perhaps the best three teams in the country, and then hot garbage to fill out the rest. (This is good for a Nebraska surge to end the season).

I’ve been waiting too many years for the SEC to cycle out as the dominant conference. I think it’s finally happening.

I’d rather be a team that loses a tough defensive battle than a track race shootout. #coloradosucks #deionsucks

Still a winnable game in Lincoln.

I don’t understand why people would laugh at this statement. Maryland has beat up on some of the worst teams in college football, ended up getting killed by Ohio State, and are now struggling with Illinois. It’s in Lincoln and very possible that we’re riding a four game win streak when it happens.

It will be interesting to see what Northwestern does on offense.  Prior to Nebraska, Illinois was right at 50/50 pass/rush on the season.  Against us, they passed it 47 times to 19 rushes.

Northwestern 201 passes to 198 rushes on the season.  So...roughly 50% also.  They are averaging 6 yards per attempt and Illinois 7.26 prior to Nebraska.  Illinois averaged 6.14 against us.

    Shutout, baby! It’s coming. :throwdabones1:
