I am a Woodlawn grad and my daughter graduated from DS. I've seen both of them in action many, many times.

We can agree to disagree. He controls the game better and isnt just looking to throw deep I have heard it from numerous people. Everybody can have an opinion though. Not to mention he has way more athletes at Woodlawn then DS. DS handled him pretty good this year in their scrimmage. I wasnt there though

    Should've pursued Rickey Collins instead

Good player. I have seen both. Rickie BIGGER and turns ball over at a high rate. Watch them in a game setting let me know thoughts then.

It was just from the sites that I was looking at him at had him at 6 175. This site still has him at 6' 175  which is where I gather most of my info on players. I also know that just because a player is listed at such and such does not always mean it is true. Which is why I said he could come in at 5'10 150. No doggin the player just being honest if I was looking for a QB I would not be in the market for a 6 175 pounder.

First of all who is "WE" is this France?  I am solo on this one.

I gotcha no I have seen in Person I met him at the Spring game kid is put together. I was told he weighed in at 193.3 and was 6'1

The kid is 6'1 195 So not sure why you saying 175. I watched them in their spring game he is big enough. Trains hard practices hard and he can throw the heck out of it. Everybody he works out for offers this kid.

He plays at the highest level in Louisiana Dang he is big as 50% of the QBs now Not sure what you mean to small

Really its just my opinion.  I just prefer QBs that have bigger frames. At 6' 175 there is just not a lot of meat on the bone to play QB at the college level. And my concern is having to add weight to get him up to 215 what does that do to his mechanics and speed. Basically does it help or hinder the reasons why you brought him here if he chooses to come to Nebraska.

I am guessing that Mooney reminds them of Milton and I think they are trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice. My concern is him getting hurt and never seeing the field.

I know that there are outliers that there are smaller quarterbacks and that injuries can happen to anybody no matter what size, however to me it just seems more avoidable with the bigger quarterback.

Yep the Gretna kid. I expect his recruiting to grow next month when he can get in front of college coaches and I'd be surprised if he didn't throw for Frost and didn't get an offer. I like the kid's talent.

He threw at Nebraska No offer The Mooney kid is their target lets hope we get him. Watched him at a camp WOW he spins the hell out of it.

yeah we have no chance at getting a kid from a die-hard nebraska fans family, nor does our offer mean much as it is pinned to the top of his twitter account. He definitely doesnt call us his childhood dream school either or anything like that.

No We have a chance for sure. Just saying I doubt it. He is in Omaha now from what i am told and will be touring Nebraska campus again today as well. So who Knows!!

Just saying that I saw Mooney in action twice last season and I had no clue he was even a top prospect. His team was really, really bad. I didn't see anything special about him but I'm sure the coaches and recruiting analysts know way more than me.

I agree and some of that comes when you have 3 WR that were 5'6 and all very young as I keep reading. He himself was young and thrown in for the first time. The game I watched on TV was the Live Oak game his second start. He was 24-36 304 yards and 4 TD's they lost on a last second blocked FG ran back for a TD

Like McCaffrey and Smothers, Mooney's arm strength didn't impress me. IDK if they're taking these guys thinking that it's a fixable issue or what. Heck, there's another kid in the same district as Mooney named Rickie Collins who impressed me more than Mooney.

Mooney threw it 64 yards at a camp this summer. He is a Junior. Really wont matter. We not getting him. I have watched both of those QB their both LEGIT LEGIT Wont get either Sorry

I watched a couple of Flores game on YouTube tonight and also watched a game of Mooney to do a comparison. Flores is better, much better. Stronger arm, more accurate, better pocket presence.

I suspect Mooney wanted to be N but the staff wants to hold off until they can get Flores onto campus to watch him throw. I suspect the 2023 QB is going to be Flores.

LOL Might wanna check him now. The Mooney Kid I watched with my own eyes at a camp this summer throw it 64 yards
