  2. Let's not forget OU just came off a huge, emotional game against Texas and that KST had their number last year. They played the game in Manhatten and still got the victory.

    Pederson over a bill again.

I doubt KST can recover from this. If NU gets up early we win big. Hopefully we can build from this game, especially the offense. The passes Joe hit today were WIDE open.

  3. Callahan has had a class that is highly rated? When did this happen. Last year he didn't get a high recruiting class and this year is only in to the second month of the season. The actual recruiting season doesn't start until after the season. You should wait until signing day before you go out say that this year is a good class. USC and Miami will certainly catch us and pass us on the list. I don't think that the 13 players that we have verbals from right now would rate us to high on the recruiting rankings.

I'm not following you. I never said Callahan had a great recruiting class the first time around. Nor have I said what the quality of the class will be this year - for the simple reason no one is signed.

What I said is that he will get three or four years, easily, provided he has highly ranked classes. If he doesn't, then I could see him out the door by the end of next season if we don't have a good year on the field in 2005 - or in that year's recruiting class.

Rivals right noe has us in the top ten. We certainly have a great opportunity to get more highly "rated" payers. Although we all know that doesn't always turn in to great teams.

  4. Lucky, Covey, Mickens, Franklin, Barry Turner, Andre Mathis & also

Alonzo Horton. Chris Scott will be in town on an unofficial.

    link

That's interesting that Scott would take an unofficial a month or two from his supposed official.

Being from Georgia and all. Must have some money.

If we can get any of these visits to commit that's a huge prize. There all top notch guys, especially Lucky

  5. Back and ready for the run to KC....Looks like we got no shot, Not so fast!

I see KSU taking another loss this week on their way to 3 or four conference losses...Mizzou will start their first of three straight losses agin Texas this weekend

We got the tie breaker on both KU and Mizzou(if we hold them off at home), ISU will not factor in it and CU will have 4 or five losses as well

We need to win the rest of our Home games and we go to KC....Hows that for a rebuilding year.....now, lets go out and do it....Huskers 24....Baylor 9

Hey man cool stuff. So basically well get to KC by default??!! That's perfectly fine by me.

KSU and Mizzou are the critical games. KSU more important. At least we get Mizzou at home

  6. He'll just go to the pros now where I felt he should of went anyways.  Heard a rumor he didn't make it because of steroids but that it just a rumor.

I don't know how many pro coaches will want to mess around with him. There are probally a few that would take the gamble. But young teams will probally shy away from him so that they don't have the distraction in the club house.

There's alot worse freaks in the nfl now then richie. Richie will be a priest compared to some. I don't know if you have watched training camps but they have fights all the time and it really isn't a huge deal. Also, did you watch 60 mintues the other day with bill parcells? He said he's had players throw their jersey in his face, and others one's take swings at him. They stayed on the team and said it wasn't a big deal. Nfl is different compared to college.

If they took a chance on LP, they'll take a chance on him.

  7. I think that the scripted plays are practiced so much during the week that Joe has faith and confidence in his ability. But once the scripted plays are stopped and Bill is calling plays then Joe does not have as much faith because he hasn't run the play very often in practice.

That could be. Don't you wish you were at practice some weeks? :)

I would love to know what goes on in practice. Then maybe I wouldn't go into the games expecting to see quite as much, or at least I would realize why Bill calls the plays a certain way.

Practice is pretty much like you have read in the newspapers. Very high tempo. Not as much instruction going on, more rep's than anything. Explain something really quick than do, do ,do.

Which I feel is a good philosophy.
