  1. I agree.

Also anyone look at the local newspapers today. Journal Star had a bout half as much coverage as they usually do. Most likely because they have to stay on the good side of the Univ. If they bash them they won't be allowed "in." If they lose the Univ. they have no Newspaper.

  2. I am going to type slowly so that maybe YOU will get it. He says and I agree, that it was NOT a prudent decision to tell Beck the he would be the ONLY QB recruited! If he is that good let him have no fear and prove it. The people that are ALREADY here are athletes but they DO NOT fit into the scheme of BC's things....

    Agree late husk',

Beck is a very good QB. In camp he really impressed after the first session.

Which will probably be how he is next year. He can all ready do things that Dailey can't. Very strong arm.

But to get to the point. He's a competitor, so why not allow the competition. In my book, it's healthy and can only make you better.

  3. No, there's no magical playbook, but, you have to notice that somethings not working. You make in game adjustments...

But was there a need for an adjustment at halftime???? Huskers should have put up maybe 17 points in the first half. Missed field goals and 4th down convertions hurt. The Huskers moved the ball.

  4. That's a nice call with the commentary. But the whole thing is, in pro ball, if you're star player who's making, for example, 20 million a year, disagree's with a coach who's making 2 million a year, for the most part, management will back the player.

He never won a superbowl. He got them to the Superbowl in 2002, where the Silver and Black, got utterly humiliated by the Tampa Bay Bucs. I remember at one point John Lynch, walking past Gruden, and saying something of the effect to, that the raiders are playing exactly like they thought they would. I watched that game, throwing many things at the TV, wondering why won't he run the freakin ball...

What it boils down to is, the way he's running the show is killing me...

There are some similarities. Gotta admit Dave the Huskers aren't exactley playing with a great deal of pride and emotion. I don't know if this has anything to do with Callahan or not. Hope not. walksalone might have something here.

  5. Let's see now.......Solich wasn't good enough..........college football is more competitive now even in the Big 12 (Big 2 and little 10)...........and Nebraska gets pounded unmercifully the same way the corn farmers used to flay other small teams! Get used to it Nebraska.........there are many many football fans in other parts of the country that really enjoyed this Husker debacle. Yes, Nebraska received its comeuppance. Let's see more of this! Really gratifying.

Let's admit it. He's got a great point. How many teams or sports fans are thrilled right now. NU beat the piss out of teams for years. NU beat OU 73-13 like 8 years ago.

  6. Guys I just had a dream that we lost 70 to friggin 10.

    Can you believe that??!!!!!!!!!!

Can you imagine if that were to ever happen at Nebraska??

:woo:woo This is about all you can do.

  7. Oregon new leader for Rey.

The way things are going with him, I think he is going to have a new leader after every visit he has.

Hopefully after his visits he sits down and thins about all the experiences he had and chooses NU. He will be able to start early.+

  8. As of now it's 3-0 at half and this could quite possible be one of the best games in the last couple years. Ever time it appears one teams is ready to break the game open and get seperation, the other comes up with a sack or turnover. Reall;y a great game.
