I'm hearing Ruud and Duval might be next. Also Sean and Dan Dillon, the Director and Assistant Director of Player Personnel.

Yep, they all need to go:

Ruud can't teach tackling, which is pretty important for linebackers.

O-line and D-line has no athleticism or strength which is on Duval.

Sean Dillon (Director of Player Personnel) is inept proven by the lack of talent on the roster and his brother...

Dan Dillon (Assistant Director of Player Personnel) is the definition of nepotism. Here is his official bio:

Dan Dillon is in his fourth season on the Nebraska staff, and he serves as the Huskers' assistant director of player personnel.

Previously, Dillon worked as a recruiting analyst. Before serving as a recruiting analyst, Dillon spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons as a recruiting intern for the Huskers. He has been a part of attracting three top-20 recruiting classes for Nebraska in four years.

Before coming to Nebraska, Dillon worked as a sales and marketing manager for Clark Street Sports. Dillon earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Grand Canyon University in 2018.

Right, because under Trev's list of traits he's look for under serving the players, he's gonna value more about what urban's personal life is than the traits he brings to the field.  makes total sense

Yah, Trev is going to be interested in this because he wants a drama-free, longer-term coach to firmly re-establish culture and lead and serve the players. Trev said he is not in a hurry and that he is more interested in getting the right guy. So, Trev is likely not going to take a risk on Urban, a 58 year old with heart issues whose best years are behind him with a family that does not want him coaching anymore to coach for a handful of years at most which gives Urban, and Trev, a short window for a "quick fix."

  3. I want Luke Fickell. Take away his first season at Cincinnati and he is 46-8. Fickell will toughen the program up. He is a blue-collar, no nonsense guy and by far the best fit for Nebraska. In 2021 Fickell collected eight national coach of the year honors, including the The Home Depot National Coach of the Year, Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year, the Stallings Award, the Eddie Robinson Award and the Dodd Trophy as well as accolades from the AFCA, Walter Camp Foundation and Sporting News. Fickell has watched 16 Bearcats earn a selection in the NFL Draft, including a school-record nine draft picks in 2022.

I do not want Urban. Again, during the pregame Trev preached he is looking for a coach to lead by serving the players. Don't see Trev hiring a guy caught drunk and snatch grabbing in a bar not too long ago because he was about to get fired to lead.

  4. On Friday, Burroughs became the first United States wrestler with seven Olympic/World title gold medals.

The former Husker national champion cemented his legacy by claiming his sixth world championship to go along with his 2012 Olympic gold medal and become the most decorated American wrestler of all-time.

Our O-line has been a liability so far this season. We are returning W. Morris this week which will settle everyone back into their positions they had during fall camp. I don’t know much about Nebraska’s defensive front 7, but if they are at least average this will be a closer game than most want to admit.

Nebraska's defensive front seven is not average and, unfortunately, they are on the wrong side of average; more in the bad territory of the spectrum.

“You think he’s better than what we got?”

This is the title for the Frost Era. And sadly he wasn't the first coach that thought that but Frost could have done the right thing and you just never know what could have been.

Frost wouldn't have known how to use Joe Burrow anyway; would've had him running option, zone reads and designed QB keepers.

Why do you all hate Matt Campbell?

Been pleading for Luke Fickell for over a year now.

Matt Campbell's specialty is O-line so he might be able to get the pipeline up and running again. He likes to run with the QB which does not win in the B1G or against playoff heavyweights so that is concerning. Campbell owns the best winning percentage in ISU history and in 2020 ISU finished ninth in both major polls, the highest final ranking in school history. Campbell is the first and only coach in Iowa State history to defeat every team in the league at least once at home and on the road during his Cyclone tenure and produced five of Iowa State’s six winning seasons in Big 12 Conference history (1996-present). The Cyclones have played as a ranked team a school-record 25 times since 2017. He has defeated 10 opponents ranked in the nation’s Top 25 since 2017, including four over top 10 opponents. He quickly turned around arguably one of the most difficult power five programs to turnaround and has led them to their most successful periods in the program's history. At 42 Campbell has both experience and many years ahead. From Trev's press conference it is obvious he is looking for a coach who selflessly serves the players and puts team above himself. Campbell's belief system is, "Grounded in building relationships and a player-driven atmosphere." His players often refer to him as a players’ coach. He seems like a guy Trev would like.

Urban Meyer does not seem like Trev's kind-of-guy.

I'm fine with Fickell or Campbell.

No reason to continue the DC charade. Hope he pulls the trigger.

Followed by Ruud and the O-line coach.

    Agree!

To add to it, don't see much changing over the rest of the season because the D-Line is unskilled; particularly the DT's.

That's a laughing joke right?? You can't be serious

I am serious. Competitive coaches want to ascend to the top so the next step is a power five school. Plus, if you lose one game during the season at a non-power five school then you're out of the playoff. Take a shot at him; it will be worth the money.

  11. Nebraska should NEVER run 5 wide; need to keep at least one RB in the backfield to keep the defense honest.

Don’t call a zone read with the backup QB late in the fourth quarter of a tight game.

DT’s are the weakest unit of the team. Minnesota is going to absolutely manhandle the D-Line. Is Jailen Weaver developing?

Trey Palmer is not as good as he thinks he is. He needs to flip around his perceived talent and actual talent.

The Fox Sports online stream is terrible - lags, switches to low definition, sudden stops, etc.

    21 days until October 1.
