  1. It makes me sad to read this thread. I am 32 and a season ticket holder. You can be loud and not stand up. Nothing wrong with yelling from your seat.

The older folks are the reason we have the facilities that draw the players here. They are the ones making the donations for the season tickets. I know it is expensive, but it is hard for me to read all of this disrespect toward the fans that have been with us for years. When I take my older father with me to the game he can't stand up the whole game but wants to be there in person to watch. I should not have to tell him to stay home.

Please remember we will all be older one day and I don't know about you but I will still want to go to husker games!

  2. Todd Peterson will probably move into the top 5 in both receptions and yards for his career. This gets overlooked on occassion with the great things that Nate has done. Not trying to take away from what Nate has done, but Todd is going to be in the record book as well.

In addition, between the two of them, whoever finishes with the most catches this year (right now nate is ahead by about 4) they will set the single season reception record.

  3. Thanks to all who commented. I think I will donate more if given the opportunity and see what it gets me. I hope to move down to row 60 or so. I will report back what happens in July and will post pictures from my seats on August 29th! I can't wait for this season to get underway. GO BIG RED!

Good luck in your quest for row 60.

You can contact the athltic department/ticket office and they have a map of the stadium that shows you today's market value to move seats. I have 2 seats in North and 2 seats in West stadium. In order to move and get 4 together, I have to pay today's market price compared to the market price of my original tickets. They were able to email me the map but those numbers sound about right.

  4. As someone who has a personal interested in watching how much Todd plays, I can say he DID get alot of playing time. I would say if you looked at the percentage of plays he was on the field, this is probably the highest to date. What seems to get overlooked sometimes, is he is in on alot of running plays where he doesn't get the ball or in the 3 or 4 receiver sets and Keller looks another direction.

I have been told he is one of the only receivers that understands all 3 of the receiving positions (X, Y, Z) and that is what helps him stay on the field as he can shift between them.

Great job Todd, way to keep working through the whole game!!

  5. Breakaway speed is not relevant when talking about Todd Peterson, because he is a possession receiver, and a damn fine one at that. Ever since '05 I have always thought that he was our most underrated offensive weapon, and I still hold to that sentiment.

Don't take the lack of break away speed as an insult. It is what it is. I think very highly of Todd. He has worked his A$$ off and really earned everything he is getting. Nice to see a local boy with family history with the University succeed.

  6. I belive todd is a senior this year but correct me if i'm wrong he sure had one heck of a game at aTm but I don't think he'll ever be a starter

Todd Peterson redshirted his freshman year. This makes him a redshirt Junior this year. He will have one year of eligibility remaining. I don't ever seem him being a true number 1, unless he has a really break out year due to his lack of breakaway speed. There is somthing to be said about the only guy that knows where to be at all 3 widereceiver positions. Some of the guys have a hard time figuring 1 of them out (i.e. Chris Brooks).

  7. That depends. Are you female? If so, are you attractive? If so, are you in possession of loose moral standards? If so, then the "attractive" part isn't necessary - just PM Eric the Red...

    It just never ends :box:corndance

We are staying in Waco since we are flying into Dallas and the hotel's are much cheaper, especially since Baylor is having an away game.

  8. Hell of a pass, hell of a catch. Purify made some big plays. Swift came up big today. As soon as I said last week that Todd Peterson had caught everything thrown at him this year, he drops the easiest TD of his life.

He did, but he will be back no problem. I always find it interesting that when everyone lists all the receivers we have for the next few years, sometimes his name gets left out of the picture. He is only a RS Soph so we have 2 more years with his size and smarts as well!

The Purify pass was the same play they ran last year with Peterson throwing the ball.......

  9. The thing that drives me crazy is some fans just seem to forget that the other team is preparring their A$$ off all week to play too. It's not like they just show up on a Saturday so we should beat them. All Big 12 teams have some type of great athletes and good coaches that are helping them prepare. We will not dominate like the 90s again, but we still need to support our team and our coaches!

    Show BIG RED PRIDE.

  10. Heard through the grapevine Spain is moving the defensive side of the ball to help our depth at Corner.

I think this is great as we seeam to have so many WRs this year and really hurting on the dephth at DB.
