  1. Tom Osborne didn't always have top recruiting classes and was able to compete most of his coaching career. Most people put way too much stock in stars.Of course there are exceptions to every rule but, STARS MEAN NOTHING IMO!

    GBR! :wootx2

  2. I think everybody is basing their opinions on what they saw in the LA Tech game and they shouldn't based on the fact that we ran basic football schemes on both offense and defense last Saturday. I think the staff is trying to limit what we are doing on the field so we don't give USC much to look at when they watch our film. We didn't blitz as often as the blackshirts normally do and ran a very conservative scheme on defense all day long. Most people also don't realize that shortly after the second half Arkansas gave up. They gave up after turning the ball over 5 times. If we play good clean execution and don't turn the ball over we have a very realistic chance at beating USC.

  3. This whole situation has got me sick to my stomach. I fear that this is going to end up disasterous. I know he is a little imature but, he is also young still. I have a friend that had a little altercation with him on campus last year which led me to believe he has some growing up to do. I do however hope he stays and grabs himself by the balls and gets to work!

  4. You may all think that I am nuts and I could very well be wrong in this prediction but I believe that at least on eof our running backs will leave the program. There are just to many talented backs to keep happy with playing time. This a good problem to have don't get me wrong but, you have to admit most all of our running backs could start at just about any school. Thoughts?

  5. Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson announced on Friday that the Huskers have reached an agreement for a home-and-home football series with the University of Washington. The games will take place in the 2010 and 2011 seasons and mark the fourth high-profile opponent Nebraska has announced in the past three months.

Nebraska signed a non-conference deal to play Washington.

The series will begin in Seattle at Husky Stadium on Sept. 18, 2010. The Huskies will make the trip to Lincoln and Memorial Stadium on Sept. 17, 2011. The games with Washington are the first contests scheduled for Nebraska in 2010 and 2011.

The announcement of a home-and-home series with Washington comes after recent announcements of home-and-home series with Virginia Tech, UCLA and Tennessee. The Huskers will play Virginia Tech in 2008 and 2009, take on UCLA in 2012 and 2013 and square off with the Volunteers in 2016 and 2017.

The Huskers' games with Washington will be the eighth and ninth meetings between the two schools, including four in the 1990s. Washington won in Lincoln in 1991 en route to a national championship and was victorious in Seattle in 1992. In 1997, Nebraska used a 27-14 victory at No. 2 Washington as a springboard to its fifth national championship, then defeated the Huskies in Lincoln in 1998. The first two meetings in the series occurred in 1925 and 1926 with the teams tying in 1925 and Washington winning in 1926. The Huskers also won at Washington in 1967.

The announcement of the games with Washington gives Nebraska games against Pacific-10 opponents in six of the next eight seasons. In addition to the future matchups with UCLA and Washington, the Huskers will meet USC this fall and again in 2007.

"I know our fans have enjoyed previous trips to Washington, and I'm sure they will be anxious to travel to the Pacific Northwest again," Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson said. "We are excited about making three trips to the West Coast to play outstanding programs in the upcoming years."

  6. During Big 12 Media Days Carriker has said that he is trying to work closely with Zach Potter to help bring him to the next level. I have good feeling about him and I am sure he will assume the roll with great confidence.

  7. Yeah, I read that but, from the big 12 media days it is sounding a decision is going to be made this week. I am betting they allow him back on with stipulations. Considering the depth problem at safety he will be N right or wrong.
