  1. Why the eff is A&M ranked?

Played really well against our last opponent with a true fish QB. Still 6-2. Only losses are to other teams in the rankings, and a good win over another team in the rankings. That's my guess. Offense has been an issue, and qb play specifically. Only reason we lost to Alabama is the QB threw 3 pick 6's. He's been benched and the new guy threw for 226 yards and ran for over 150 in the opener. 2 bad weeks, but defense has been playing well.

  2. I actually don't mind Texas for some reason but how does one of the richest programs with great recruiting opportunities only have a handful of top 5 finishes in the last 30-40 years?

    Several reasons.

    1. Rivals, the primary evaluator of HS talent, artificially inflates Texas "Star Ratings" their owner is a massive horn and likes to pump their ratings to make them look better

    2. The rise of programs like OU, Tech, Baylor, A&M, and TCU always deliver a couple losses each year

    3. Talent is not developed once on campus

    4. Recruiting suffers due to lack of investment in facilities

    5. Game is changing and the current staff at UT is pretty incompetent.

  3. Y'all ready for this? Want to know why Texas lost, according to their fans?

BAD OFFICIATING. That's right, it's the REF's fault.

Good thing they've NEVER been on the other side of that and gotten the benefit of bad refs, amirite?

  4.

    That was quick.

They've seen this through Spring AND Fall Camps.

Either they're completely clueless, or their defense is SO inept that their offense looked GOOD!

Been scratching my head about Tejas for some years now. With all the 4-5* players they get, you'd think they could put up some points against anybody by just showing up. 3 pts vs ND, really? I stopped watching after the 1st qtr. I actually kind of like Strong, so I actually find myslef routing for them a bit these days--especially vs ND--albeit begrudgeonly.

Tejas always seems to play soft, or is it, softly?

Wats was doing pretty well @ Louisville, aided by T Bridgewater, of course. Surprised a bit that they didnt give him more of a chance @ Tejas.

Here's the thing, Rivals is owned by GEoff Ketchum. HE's a massive Texas Homer. Between junior and senior rankings, a side by side comparison or player rankings shows that UT commits ALWAYS get graded higher and A&M recruits lose grades. Every.Year.

It's flawed due to his homerism.

  5. What should we think about the former Husker OC being replaced with former Husker OC as playcaller at Texas? I seriously don't know what to make of it... #extremelyconfused

That y'all were smart enough to get rid of them, but ol' Charlie Strong at Texas HIRED them and keeps them on staff?

Originally, I was thinking Frost would be an easy decision. Young, hot commodity, has a bright future ahead of him, and "knows Nebraska"

Then I realized that Nebraska hiring Frost would be similar to Texas Tech hiring Kingsbury.

One of the biggest issues I see is he has not been coaching long enough to establish the coaching connections he needs for a quality staff. As most here know, you need a staff who are good recruiters, good developers of talent, and good with X's and Os. While Frost will get there, I'm afraid he would only be able to assemble a mediocre staff, like Kliff at Tech...which ended 4-8 this year.

Now, I know UNL has a LOT more going for it than Texas Tech, but the staff issue could be very similar.

I looked up both player profiles pasts presents careers lifestyle I am having a hard time relating them except they are both

Caucasian males who are a part of college football. I find this interesting could you please post more details into your point of view I really can't put this picture together how they are similar.

It's not about their player profiles, it's more about their coaching. They both started as GAs, moved quickly to position coaches at mid majors, then to position coaches at major universities before being promoted to OCs at big programs with prolific offenses. Kingsbury at UH then A&M, Frost at Oregon. Not including GA years, Kingsbury coached for 5 years before moving to Head Coach, Frost has coached 7. My point is that if Frost was hired by Nebraska, he would struggle to compile a competent coaching staff, like Kliff has struggled to do so at Tech, and the issue would have long-term repercussions.
