  1. http://espn.go.com/c...ne-going-retire

Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne will announce his retirement during a news conference Wednesday afternoon in Lincoln, two sources told ESPN.com.

Although it's unclear when Osborne will step down, he is not expected to retire immediately, one of the sources said..........

Besides HuskerBoard, who's their other source?

Does TO have a salt water aquarium by chance?

All of these College Football types do.

  2. Take away the crappy refs, and in reality the Packers have no one to really blame but themselves. You scored all of 12 points on the road. Really? When does scoring 12 points on the road win anything? You scored zero points in the first half, and got owned by the Seattle defense. And it wasn't like the refs were doing Seattle any favors either. Maybe if Aaron Rodgers spent less time blowing the smoke away from his finger gun and more time completing passes and not getting sacked, they'd be the same team from last year.

This is a dumb viewpoint. The point is that the Packers won this game fair and square, but the refs blew it. There are ifs ands and buts in every football game.

  3. enjoy while you can...or just support kansas state........after next weeks loose, nu will not be anywhere to be found in the polls

I really hope you're not trolling................I'd hate to have to ban you for such a rule violation.

His post history would indicate that he is, indeed, trolling.

  4. Maher still sucks.

He's starting to remind me of that baseball player with their contract up at the end of the season. He plays lights out and receives the new contract(read scholly) and then tanks the year after. What happened to the kid to get him so out of whack this year? He's really stinking it up.

I like to refer to this as The Larry Johnson Effect.

  5. So I guess the incredible character development, award-winning acting and cinematography, subtle hidden messages, and powerful symbolism, not to mention the intensity and drama in nearly every episode probably just got lost on him somehow. It's ok, I'll let him just go back to watching Tosh.0 and Teen Mom now.

They developed the characters into a bunch of a$$hole$ with no redeeming qualities. The show is well acted but that doesn't keep the story from being preposterous.

  6. Breaking Bad has a very, very good chance to go down as the greatest show of all time when it's all said and done.

If you haven't started watching...now is as good a time as any.

I gave up on this show midway through season four. It got to the point where it was just absurd. No likable characters. Story is utter horsesh#t. I know that I have the minority view on this one, but I'll stand firm with it.

  7. This past Saturday in the middle of the night I was woken up by voices outside my house. I figure it’s just high school guys, maybe junior high, out toilet papering a house or ringing doorbells. I got dressed, went down and scouted around but they were long gone by the time I got there. The next day I’m mowing the lawn, and low and behold, I find where they’d stashed an empty water bottle that had contained some sort of smelly liquid (cleaning fluid maybe?) and an empty Doritos bag. So I figure, apparently some of the neighborhood kids are sniffing stuff to get high.

I guess this has been happening forever. I knew people in hs who did this sh#t. But it makes me wonder whether it is getting more common among teenagers? That is, sniffing lighter fluid, or gasoline, or cleaning fluid? I can't claim total innocence back in hs. I may have smoke a little dope now and then. But I never sniffed anything. I can’t help but think that sniffing stuff like that is not good for the ole IQ.

When I lived down in Austin there was a problem with kids huffing freon out of people's A/C units. People wouldn't figure it out until their house wouldn't cool down.

Doesn't huffing stuff like that--freon, gasoline, glue, etc.--actually damage your brain? Or is that just propaganda that schools tell kids to keep them off the stuff?

I'm pretty sure that's how Tuff Tiger became the man he is today.
